I agree with a previous comment, for me, it was the food that really sold this film! It's quite accurate to what would be expected. A color theme that feels separated from the origin ingredients. An unusually presentation focused meal within the home setting. The completely flat and mirrored plates made it feel particularly futurist. (Squid is supposed to be particularly plentiful in an acidified ocean, which makes me believe this presentation was carefully thought out)

Great story. .. maybe only just a bit ahead of its time. However, couldn't help but notice the cheesey ancient optical disk (maybe you wanted the memory metaphor to be obvious to the viewer, but really, it could have at least been some sort solid state device. Ironically, here in the real world of the moment, (mostly) guys are actually falling in love with their virtual online AI girlfriends. .. the film Her comes to mind, but I digress.

Love all the detail. the food, the house decorations, even the details of the house structure from the stair handrail to the dining room windows. The special effects look natural and normal from Michael's shot off switch to his data port.

Enjoyed this, would love to see a part 2 at least.
Also a little scary showing reliance on AI for everthing from looking after your house to your phone telling you how to deal with personal situations.

Quinn asks Michael what he wants out of his life, as if this was something every human would easily be able to answer. If that's so, I may be a robot, because just like Michael, I haven't figured it out yet.

I don't really believe in robots having conscience etc, but if one day they make robots that lifelike, no one can blame us if we fall in love with one of them >: /
