Battlefield Evolution w/ Facts 2002-2022 I never played anything before the third. I missed them and I do regret it. My cousin saw me playing mw3 and said to stop and play bf3 lol. I wanted to play a game with my cousin so I got it. And at first I hated it. I kept getting stabbed in the back and the recoil on the weapons were bad compared to cod. Not only that unlike the cod games at that time you could aim at an enemy running and shoot him compared to battlefield where you have to aim in front. I knew nothing about the realism. So yes I hated the game AT FIRST. But I grew to love bf3 and 4 because I felt like I was getting better compared to most other fps where you-re not entirely sure if you-re getting better or if you-re just lucky. In battlefield I knew and trusted where my bullets will go because they always went where I shot. And those long distance snipes felt amazing and crisp.\r\n

Just bought 2042 yesterday to see if I have fun or not. I have to say, it's still fun, but I can see what people are talking about. It doesn't feel like a fully grown battlefield or any kind of AAA title.
Also I don't unterstand how the performance can be so shitty. It's not even looking any better than BF1 or BF5 but still the performance is way worse for no reason.
I literally cant get over 70-80 fps with my i7 6700k

I really liked BF2142. I think it's kind of a misunderstood gem. The titan game mode was fresh and unique and fighting style overall was fun.
Out of all the games in the series, my two favorites are BF2 and BC2.
1942 and Vietnam will also always have a place in my heart since I loved those as a kid.

battlefield 2 modern timeline did not come out of no where. You have to go back to the desert combat mod for 1942 that was made by trauma studios. Its popularity is what made battlefield 2 go modern. Infact dice purchased trauma studios and there team was part of battlefields 2 development.

To be fair, I always felt the story aspect of the later games ruined the single player. I wanted to do conquest and such with bots, and enjoy the massive open map with vehicles and all, and instead the single player parts just became smaller and smaller on rail shooters.

The bar started with 1942, and never moved. It's crazy that they thought ahead of everyone with the vehicles and huge maps man. Like they were already living in the future its so wild to think about!

From battlefield v to battlefield 2042 is a huge DOWNGRADE, animations/art design/ui design/ambient sound effect.
