Important note: most iPod nanos are affected by battery expansion and for reason are a fire hazard. They were very small which allows no headroom for expansion and causes black spots on the screen. Swollen batteries were hard to repair on some models because it involves soldering and you have to slide the internals out. Due to this, Apple recalled the first generation of the nano in 2011 and the iPod nano lineup is the most notorious one amongst the iPod community.

Best about iPod:
iPod is small weight weight, play music on the go, Use videos and photos later on in the mid-2000s and color screen too, The early iPods has grayscale screen like Game Boy Pocket, Model Colors, Radio and finally the Camera but only iPod Touch (4th Generation to 7th Generation) and iPod Nano (5th Generation)
Worst about iPod:
iPod Shuffle (3rd Generation, No SD Cards, no low and high pitch voice and speed and no voice effect.

is it just me or do things get less intuitive when you combine everything onto one device? yeah it-s more convenient but any changes made to make it more -streamlined- or whatever make it harder actually, at least imo, and I loved it when I had my ipod mini. idk what apple is doing lately, they-re making- VR headsets and all their new phones are the same thing being released over and over again.

The bigger ipod is better. Because you need the spiderman logo on it! The splat should look like a web! Did you get what I mean? I dont know how they do that, they must have attempted several times to make it look like that! Some artist did it perhaps. And most of all, it should be working! Then, relax and play games! Ah. You need me to make everything work! Now you know. ---------

I feel like with technology allowing us to make devices like phones multitask really took some life & vibe away from humanity.
Back in the days having an mp3 or a walkman cd player had some vibe and feeling to it.
Like how you can make a playlist on a cd and share it among friends or love ones--

Also you showed some MP3 players that existed before the iPod (like the Creative Labs.
Apple didn-t invent the MP3 player - they just did it far, far better than the competition.

My very first apple device was the iPod shuffle nano because someone gave it to me. Then I had the iPod touch 4th gen. Now I have everything else. Wow sad to know they-re being discontinued, but I-d buy a retro version if they come back with it in the future.

Technically the 6th gen was released in 06 and the 7th gen eas the one that was released in 07, look the same but the 7th gen has a better dac and can be flash modded for 4 terrybytes

In 2002 I had my first 20GB iPod. Having thousands of CD-s, it was a big deal. My friends all claimed it was too expensive and nothing special-until they used it.
