If that mad box console is a pc with a sandboxed linux-X os.. I.E OEM to madbox or whatever they are called.. That would mean no hacks or cheats nor 3rd party software, and they make games with native keyboard/mouse support, it will decimate MS/sony.. Why ? Because pc gaming is 100 times better except for shooter games and aimbots which run rampant in every shooter game I don't care what kind of anti cheat is running, they are garbage.. So they would essentially corner the gaming market because most people don't wanna cheat in games, especially shooter games. So those people are relegated to shitty consoles/controllers which suck major ball sacks..
If it is just some open ended os like windows.. It will fail badly..

I think they are being a little bit too over reaching with thier claims but the direction is in the right way and sony/Microsoft really need another competitor in the market which will only benefit gamers in general and hopefully it's at least a bit modular/customizable as that will be a huge edge over PlayStation and Xbox and bring some of the best parts of owning a pc to console owners, i also own an xbox one and before i got into pc gaming it always kinda sucked not being able to have no customisation options unless you wanted to void your warranty haha as i did and proceeded to kick myself when the red ring of death hit me.. anyway loved the vid guys

I don't know why people get so hyped over new consoles. Literally just build a PC, it'll be 10x better depending on your budget. Why wait for big companies when you can build something yourself? Never understood fan boys that sit and stew on new consoles when they could make a way better system right now, that will probably still be better when the console actually comes out.

i like this :) finaly companys stepping up to take a position in our gaming industrie maybe we can finaly get rid of sony's money hungery basterds realy like to see sony fail i gues it just takes time to get people to realise sony is just after your money and that they dont offer u any costumer service

Mad Box looks ridiculous. They could not have picked a worse decade to start a new game console. Who could compete with Playstation and Xbox in this next iteration, considering the service initiatives.
