10 best video game graphics then vs now [part 2]

Video game graphics are fun to compare when it comes to franchises that have been around for awhile. Here's part 2 of our series Mike: I feel like the Witcher 2 was more of a graphical jump from the first game while it still had those same awkward and clunky game mechanics. Then with Witcher 3 they finally took a big leap with the mechanics as well while also making a huge improvement on the graphics while also having an enormous open world. When the third game came out I was like ok perfect, now they really nailed what they were going for.

6:08 - -What did Falcon mean when he said -and there is some stuff that is kind of questionable as far as how well it worked out-?- I thought Assassin-s Creed was a masterpiece when it first came out, and one of the best in the series. I would argue that it still holds up today, I could pick it up and play it and not feel like I-m in a time warp. So does anybody know what he meant?

Why was the content in this video so bad lol. What was number 7? Comparing half life 1 to 3? 3 doesn't exist so can they could have done an entire count down of games that do exist to ones that don't. Fall out 1 to fallout 16 the graphics in fallout 1 were shit but compared to 16 1 is better!!!

I mean it doesn't make much sense to go from ES Arena to Skyrim, first one was released in 1994 and the other one in 2011. Comparing Oblivion to Skyrim I would understand, but here, I really don't get the point: -This game's graphics have evolved over 20 years!-... Like, ok?

Yeah, but in Half-Life 3 you don't see the rough edges because of it's anti-aliasing and the shadows are just so much richer and deep to build the atmosphere; plus, as a designer, i gotta say that it keeps a very consistent color palette.

You should do a top 10 trilogy games if all time. But only the first 3 games of the best series of all time; like if the Resident Evil series was on the list(which it really should be) you could only cover Resident Evil 1, 2, and 3.

Here are 2 for you guys:
Classic Runescape, Runescape 2, and finally Runescape 3 - HUGE difference between each in terms of technology.
Also Mount and Blade vs Mount and Blade Bannerlord.

I remember thinking Oblivion was next-gen realism brought to my screen. Come to think of it, I'm pretty sure I thought the same thing about Skyrim. Here's to hoping Tes 6 elicits the same reaction.

The Elder Scrolls Arena was not procedural generated, it was hand-crafted (excluding NPC names, equipment names, and shop names). Daggerfall was the one that had the procedural generated maps...

In my opinion if the game is good then graphics doesn't matter that much
Like call of duty 2 and 3 the original are really gud and it still holds up today
