Kenshi did the whole -you're a nobody in an RPG world- WAAAYYY before this so it's not new although Outward does look interesting.
I actually enjoyed AC 3 a lot and thought/still think Black Flag is an overrated game. Black Flag had the worst story in the franchise and was the first game where you really weren't an assassin. The pirate genre has just been really dry so when BF came out it was like giving crack to a recovering addict.
The more I hear about the new obsidian IP the more hype I get I can't wait to try it.
