Cyberpunk 2077 ditches third person cutscenes. Why?

Cyberpunk 2077's cinematics are all going to be in first person - not something we were expecting. Is this good or bad, and what does it entail. Let's talk about it

Correct me if I am wrong, but there as never been a big AAA RPG on the
market that EXCLUSIVELY has First Person. Even Skyrim and Oblivion let
you zoom out and play in 3rd person. All RPGs in the past are either Top
Down or 3rd Person. There's a reason for that. RPGs are all about
looting, crafting and getting new shiny armors and weapons. Make your
own conclusion.

After playing the game and seeing the 3rd person ending cutscnes this was a big mistake. I can connect with the V character I made because i'll constantly see his face, his emotions and his body language with 3rd person cutscenes. Now knowing the development hell this game went through I bet it was a bad decision by the lead. It's really disappointing!

-The Cyberpunk dev team have been incredibly open with questions asked directly to them-
Oof this didn't age well, I think one of the only things they were open about was the tweet that they made saying -The whole game is going to be a meme-
lol you can't even see your character in reflections like this video was speculating

If CDPR wanna go all the way into the immersion road, why didn't they just make silent protagonists? Because the way V speaks won't be the way the players speak, and it won't be so immersive, will it? CDPR are doing a lot of right things for immersive sake, but are they doing those things right in the grand scheme of things?

Total immersion, right, and therefore you can switch to 3rd person view in car. More likely they run out of budget for proper cutscenes, or simple they wanted to haste release date , what actually happened. It almost remind me old joke, when something didn't turn out very well to chef cooker, he call it -special-. :-D

Having now played it, this was a mistake. I don-t like not ever seeing the character I made. I feel less connected now, not more. That said some of the first person scenes in conversation with other characters are great, but there should have been a balance.

-You can still see your character in the mirror!- What a freaking joke CDPR!! And please stop hiding behind this ridiculous vale of -immersion.- No one had any problems being immersed in Witcher 3! One of the greatest games ever made!!!

I get motion sickness from low FOV and First Person. Not even Keeanu can fix that for me :(
There's no point in me pre-ordering or buying this game at all because sadly, I won't ever be able to play it.

All the comments coming from the devs sound like BS spin on a bad decision. They are probably riddled with inner turmoil which is going to probably come out later on after they deliver a hot mess.

Im not going to buy this game if its only 1st person. Ive had vertigo for a while and 1st person makes it worse... always been that way no matter how long I try and play 1st person.
