Xbox Series X and Series S have official prices and release dates. Now that we know everything about Microsoft's next generation consoles, let's break it all down and compare!

The numbers and stat difference looks so drastic on paper and really makes me want to buy the biggest and best. On the contrary the S might be for me. I play a ton of switch stuff mainly, i don't own a 4k TV, I'm kinda poor, and my xbox is mainly just for the very few exclusives and essentially an indie game marketplace box...hmm im not buying until 2021 anyway so ill wait and see what everyone says and experiences. Im like surprised that the S might be the one for me.

I think the series s is for me. I don-t need the best graphics, or the fastest loading times (although the loading times of the s are still very fast), I just want a solid console that can handle new gen games, and for $300, this console does all of that for a kick butt price. I don-t need the best performance, because at the end of the day I just want a console to have a good time with friends and do some casual gaming.

I really wish the XSS hade an optical disc drive. It would have made it the perfect value system considering the huge supply of old Xbox One games both new and used, all of them on disc. The smaller SSD can be dealt with with a bit of patience and an external SSD. Lacking an optical disc drive can't be fixed afterwards.

I like having 4k bluray player. Much better bitrate than anything streaming, Netflix is even lowering bitrate now. Also like the ability to play older games like original Xbox, Xbox 360. Can also trade them for other games if I get bored. Like having physical item with manual as well.

Hm, you could literally buy the Series S whenever after or if you decide to buy the PS5 if thats what you wanted to do, just to keep up with other next gen games exclusive to xbox. will be cheap as chips in a year if that. I definitely have my eyes on Fable

I'm still on the Xbox one. And honestly apart from the quick resume ( Most people play one game at a time), and a higher frame rate and load times. Is there a difference? The only question is how long will this last? With the kind of games coming out?

When you learn about the differences, it makes you realize ...... who the hell would buy the series S. Doesn-t support 4K gameplay + only 300Gb free once all softwares are downloaded. Just get the Series X people!

So basically the bigger Xbox has better graphics and can use CDs and the smaller Xbox can-t but it looks nice on a wooden shelf and its small we in 2020 nobody buy CDs no more we social distancing out here

X SERIES X is what made me have appreciation once again for a Console
the whole focusing on backwards compatibility is a HUGE deal for me
i saw your CONTRA III NES cartridge in there btw buddy

only thing is the Microsoft store is a rip-off, you can usually buy the disks from retailers much cheaper so depends on how many games you will buy - a disk drive may be important...
