Need for Speed Most Wanted is one of the most beloved street racing games of all time. Here's why Ark's: I'm surprised I managed to get a 450mhz Pentium 3 to run this game as well as I did years ago. The setup I was running then was two computers connected to a switch. One computer I would use just for storage and would have mapped network drives. So I would install the games on a mapped network drive. Nowadays you can do this on a TrueNAS box using an iscsi setup. For me games would run a lot smoother and faster that way than on just one computer. It was a workaround for sure but it worked rather well. I might have maxed my ram on my dell optiplex (SDRAM was quite expensive those days as it was obsolete then) and had a $60 or $70 ati graphics card I bought from walmart installed. I put a lot of time into this game and Morrowind both being enjoyable experiences. I had played the Underground games those were great. However, the Hot Pursuit games left a lot to be desired. Most Wanted for me was a good merger of the Hot Pursuit and Underground series. I used to think of it as Underground 3 at the time but its something else entirely.

Nfsmw 05' is my all time favorite racing game hands down. I change controls to #5 and the only thing I would add to the remastered/remake if they ever come full circle and realize they need to do this lol. I would add a new game plus. You would verse all the blacklist ppl with maxed cars and can get more junkman parts and when you got to razor he would drive his mustang. Been wishing for years for a remastered version for my series x but for now the 360 copy I have will have to do. My favorite cars definitely have to be the lotus elise and the Corvette. Best moment is definitely majority of the pursuits. Cheers
Imo controller set up #5 is the best. The right joystick is 3 buttons and that alone makes nfsmw my #1. Honestly not a big fan of the right trigger being the throttle

I would find myself going back to find my flash drive that contains the game to either play or just outright download a copy every 2-3 years that I feel nostalgic about the game. Would start from the beginning and would not play any game other than it until I finished it. I even tried to play on a all numbers keypad or Keyboard using it like a console controller lmao. And now I just bought another console controller just because I want to play it again. I just can't seem to.ake it work on Windows 11.

The original Most Wanted is my favorite of the series. I wasn't a fan of the second Most Wanted release. However, I consider Need for Speed Heat a release that continues the original Most Wanted game play. It has day races to increase money/upgrade cars while having illegal night races to earn rank. There's also a least one location where you can hide from the Cops even at wanted level 5 (if you can make it there) like the bus station in the original Most Wanted. So to me, Heat is Most Wanted II.

When EA used that -Most Wanted- Title again, I got excited but then I figured they've jumped their gun. When BMW M3 E46 appeared again in NFS, I thought I'd find something that I've always been missing, but I was wrong. Those later games have better graphics but they just don't deliver the feeling, and I don't feel I'm a racer sitting in my car while playing them. So far, NFS Pay Back is my second favorite title.

Most Wanted was the most OG racing game for all gamers. While Carbon was the last good Need For Speed game for me and ProStreet was the start of the downfall of the franchise.
Idk why but modders should be the game developers because they made a remaster of those games without microtransactions.

To be honest Most Wanted 2012 was a great disappointment. I though EA would inherit some features from 2005 to 2012 but u know even after being graphically interactive it sucks. Only racing and tuning lil bit can be done. For paint you had to go through a repair point. Nothing compares to 2005

This game surely was a blast back then, I liked carbon a little bit more, but the chases were not that good as in MW, both definitely in my top 5 NFS games.
The funniest thing I remember was, that the helicopter hit a truck and the containter of the truck flew along the highway.

I finished career mode in Need For Speed Most Wanted like 7 or 8 times. Even this day, I want to play. I liked this game very much. Porsche Cayman engine sound is amazing. BMW M3 GTR handling was so good. I kept older pc for playing Underground 2, Most Wanted etc.

NFS MW
Resident Evil 4
GTA San Andreas
These 3 are legendary and changed there respective video game series.
Because when these games came no one ever thought that games can be this good , realistic , tough and fun all at the same time.
