For me, this game went from Pre-order to ill just wait until its on sale. Every time I hear something new, I m more disappointed. Not gunna lie. Yes, there is a lot of cool concepts/features but I honestly don t know what they were thinking when they left out a morality meter. The HP story is literally centered around Good vs. Evil. A morality meter seems like a no brainer. Without one, it seems kind of pointless to do anything even remotely morally driven. At that point it just leaves learning spells and stuff like that which for me isn t enough to make me buy the game. At that point, the story has to be completely solid otherwise I will lose interest quick. Having Quidditch seemed like another no brainer to me. Even the PS2 version had Quidditch. Its not like the consoles or a PC isn t capable of handling something like that and I m sure alot of people wanted to play a graphically modern game or two. The straw that broke the camels back for me though was hearing about how PS5 players are getting exclusive story content not available anywhere else. I understand Sony sponsored the game or something along those lines but console exclusives and console wars have always been a major pet peeve of mine. I hate the whole idea of it all. Im sick of missing out on awesome games and stuff because I don t have all the consoles. So that really kind of rubbed me the wrong way along with everything else I mentioned. Ill just wait until reviews come out and go from there. Probably the safer bet these days anyway.

Why would they put a bunch of microtransactions in a single player game? That wouldn't make any sense to me.
It's not like they're bold for claiming not to have something that wouldn't sell well, and would attract a lot of negativity. It's only impressive if the lack of microtransactions means a plethora of unlockable cosmetic items/content in the game through traditional gameplay.
Otherwise, I'm afraid it indicates underdevelopement as opposed to taking a stand.

Can tell you dont appreciate the game much, haven't given it any good praise really, just mentioned how you don't know exactly this or exactly that or with quidditch, that you flat out don't care, also that we should just expect what they've given us because they are an RPG, like they just followed every other RPG, it's completely different we've got so much from them we pretty much know what to expect, it looks great, and it's called a hippogriff not a Griffin

I think the microtransactions aspect is a bit hidden in definition - I would expect that there are no microtransactions of the type buy an orb for 0. 89 to open a chest. But the likes of cosmetic set for 25, - might not be considered as a micro transaction. Ultimately, I couldn't care less about a cosmetic+mount shop and wouldn't really be offended about non-gameplay-affecting cash shop. Though I sincerely hope they wouldn't do any battlepass BS.

I dunno man. The game looks pretty good and high quality, but with the way the industry is, I'll reserve judgement until it releases. WB's got a good track record for action games, at least. But like you mentioned, they are pretty infamous when it comes to microtransactions. I'll believe there are none in the game when I see it. Character creation looks pretty good, at least. I wonder how in-depth it is?

I do think that the Dark Arts pack being able to be bought in game, is simply the fact that you can update your version of the game after you've bought it. So, if you bought the normal version, you can upgrade it.
And I'm assuming they don't really count that as a micro transaction since it's abailable to be bought right off the bat? I'm just throwing it out into the air.

Actually, I think it would be really cool if there was a randomize feature about choosing the houses. Like say we have to answer a set of randomized questions like those Buzzfeed quiz or something, and our answers would determine which house our character goes to. I think that would be an awesome method to quickly establish a connection with the world and story.

I already pre ordered this, God of war Ragnorok, crisis core Reunion, Forspoken, Like a Dragon, Callisto Protocol And the new Dead island I am now broke and no more early birthday money but oh man was it worth it. Atomic Heart I can t wait as well I am going to be busy this year, and the beginning of next year. I love being a gamer. I can t wait!

I understand, that the publishers want to earn money. But it became ridiculous in the last years.
I have no problem to pay for a DLC. But making the game the way, that grinding gets longer and longer, but you can pay to make it less time spending, that is crap. I am not sure about the game, but it looks really great.

Falcon really bummed me out about the game and I was really excited about it.

What I wanna know is if they're gonna force female characters to wear a freaking skirt. I hate always having to play as a male cause the female outfits make me cringe. I get it, the whole timeline and blah blah blah but there were rebels even back then. Come on!

This game looks really fun, but I just can't feel good about supporting anything tied to JKR. It's a real shame she's turned out to be such a horrible person. That said I'm not judging anyome who does play the game - maybe I'll just pirate it

Maybe consider replacing narration for videos for certain franchises with people who actually sound like they're into it. Falcon sounds like he couldn't give a shit about this. But then again, he sounds like that 90 % of the time he speaks.

Looks like Bully and Skyrim combined. Hopefuly you can interact with NPCs the way you can in bully. and have to go to classes like Bully and having to do detention if you dont. I hope choices have an impact like Fallout new vegas.
