The added portal thing during his super kick doesn't make more sense to it. It actually takes away the campiness that makes Mortal Kombat great and it make Rain less mystical. He's no longer a demigod with that can kick so hard it send you across the world. Now he's just some waterbender.

If they bring back the remaining ninjas to be in the game (ermac, reptile, smoke) it's only fair to bring back Tanya as well since she is a female ninja but if not her or the other ninjas hopefully takeeda and kung jin come back as well

Variation 2 is going to be crazy. You could use anti air and then use around the world combo and RIGHT BEFORE HE HITS THE GROUND use the rest stand and get an even longer combo -
