Ratchet: managed to get over his fear of meeting the Lombax-s, with the help of Rivet and Kit. Meeting Rivet helped Ratchet realise that he doesn-t have to be impressive at all to be with his kind. Meeting Kit helped him as well, Kit was afraid of the world, afraid of herself, but when Ratchet showed her the worlds she realised that she didn-t want to be confined to one world and that she can be her own person not afraid of what she is.
Rivet: with the help of Clank, she was able to get over her fear of robots and that she was able to be partners with Kit. Plus she was also afraid of meeting another Lombax too, this helped both her and Ratchet to cope the fact they never met one that tried to kill him and that Rivet survived this one too. Remember when they met in person, both of them were anxious and nervous to meet another of their kind.
The Dimensionator: Ratchet and Rivet making the Dimensionator was following the footsteps of the Lombax-s, they needed the Dimensional map, remember Nefarious said it took him years to figure out the coordinates to Rivet and Kits dimension, so they needed to go to that dimension more than anything. I don-t think there was an Archives that has the dimensional map in Ratchets dimension, Maggs said that he left one copy of his dimensional map in the Archives and thats it.
Nefarious-s: Emperor and Dr Nefarious needed to be defeated and with the help of Ratchet, Clank and Kit; Rivet was able to defeat him at last.
Also Ratchet and Rivet aren-t dimensional counterparts, they just went through similar dimensions and people around them. When the Lombax-s were fleeing from Tachyon, the rift that the Lombax-s made must have been unstable and caused a few to be sent to other dimensions, Rivet for example must have accidentally sent to that dimension. I remember Maggs apologising that they weren-t able to get everyone. So that-s probably what happened.

Pretty bad story telling all due to placating feminist narratives and checking feminist tick-boxes of bechdel test.
Such an amazing character 'Kit' was robbed of a partner(Ratchet) who genuinely cared for her. Ratchet adopted her, Trusted her and then even named her and eventually made her believe in herself and him. Kit was only partnered with Rivet due to bechdel test BS.
And then during the events leading to the climax, Rivets abandons Kit who had just found hope through Ratchet and Ratchet in spaceship chooses to keep quiet about Rivets decision because he is faced with a 'Strong female Lead who is better and needs no man'.
Kit and Clank both should have partnered with Ratchet.

It should've been called Rivet & Clank: Rift Apart. Because honestly it didn't feel like a Ratchet & Clank game. Ratchet was a side character in this game. I don't mind the new character though. She's still a very interesting character. It's still a good game. But Dr. Nefarious needed to go. Having the same villan multiple times felt boring. All these new weapons and I'm told there new feel like the old weapons from the previous games. And even if there new what's the point of having them if you're just gonna fight the same villan over and over again.

First, you have a laughably evil mad scientist with the title -Dr. - who uses a Dimension(-in)ator, and meets his counterpart who is more evil and more successful and took over with a big scary robot army. They both team up against the heroes, but then the other dimension counterpart decides to invade the doctor-s home dimension to see how hard it is to conquer. And it ends with a big robot invasion of the heroes- home dimension.

Especially characters and story
Same thank you constantly, no greater depth to characters than good, even the arm thing should of been something
Abilities all good so gameplay becomes repetitive
Main bad has intimidating factors but is beat and so comically Disney in sterile, like no violence
And ratchet is so weak, not that much stronger character to the 2016 one
Just so much meh

they shld make more ratchet games. since they made it without crouch. ps4 they just made one. ps2 and ps3 they made alot. i do not own ps5 due to shortages but i do hope they will more ratchet games so when ps5 stocks are available for everyone including myself, i can buy it. hehehe. iceman you really play new games really fast.

My rating for this game would be a 6. 5. It's a good game but it's not the best. I'm sure many will like it and it's gonna have great reviews. But me as a true Ratchet and Clank fan. The originals will and forever be the best. I didn't like the 2016 one much either.

I love the ratchet & clank series but this game just sucks. let's be honest about it. It lacks it's ratchet & clank soul what makes is so fun to play. The ratchet & clank ps4 remake was way more fun to play and it had more diversity.

This game was fantastic I can-t wait to try it for myself. Can I just say that Jennifer Hale is a legend at acting she-s 56 years old and the way she does Rivet-s voice sounds like she-s in her early 20s. I-m mind blown by that.

Honestly, I think the ending was great, the story wasn't too terribly long. And that boss fight felt like a call back to the first fight they had with Dr. Nefarious in the first game they fought in.

So what did kit do? We couldn't even play as her? I was hoping for a giant kit an giant clank section. They didn't know what to do with kit so they made her be a ex warbot like clank and that's it

I enjoyed it but I felt like it needed more character depth and building in comparison to it's predecessors. I think A Crack In Time is the best R&C but Going Commando really is my favorite.

What a ride! This is practically begging to have a sequel. I just hope they don't make it so that Ratchet and Rivet are related. He deserves a love interest after all this time.
