We waited 10 years for some small linear maps. A sprawling, Open world LA filled with zombies would've been way better. If the open world formula is getting stale, then change the formula, don't just give us a bunch of tiny maps, that's not the solution, we still want open world's.

I don't know why but seeing MK go for the legs when if they're already on the ground burns my soul. If I remember correctly, headshots do the most damage in the older games, I wouldn't expect it to be any different in 2.
