Just played a couple hours of this and the visuals are some of the best I've seen on console, but it really reminds me of demon souls allot. That lantern has to be one of the coolest mechanics I've ever seen in a game.

Nothing special. Effects and environment looks really boring and not even a deep combat. Look at the blood and enemies attacks or magic, looks out of the texture and fake. Lies of P did a real change.

Right after the ranged tutorial there is a statue that makes your lamp go crazy and sprout tendrils. anyone figured out what it's for yet? Is it one of the flower beds that can't be used until later?

Just bought the game and it got stuck at the character name menu. Got a refund after two days. Decided to buy a disc copy of the game and it arrived today. Stuck at the character name again

Just wondering why some of the stuff I see in you gameplay wasn't in mine. No chest behind crates, when you went through water the other side was blocked off for me, ect. I don't get it.

I dunno. Flawed it might be, I prefer the older LotF, it had more identity. Sure, it was derivative like all Souls-like are, but this one tries too hard to be Dark Souls.

Gameplay is garbage, graphics are medicore and bosses are downright dogwater. I'd argue Code Vein was a better souls like game than this and that was terrible as well.

Losing textures for 60fps in the setting for performance mode on console is worth it. Any lower and the game just renders so badly.
