Poor Scaly Pete he-s literally become the Captain Ahab of the Bayou against the very Shark he unwittingly created himself. It just goes to show that even in nature vengeance just breeds more vengeance. That. and a mutated abberition of a shark due to verousixous appetite and man-kind toxic dumping of hazardous chemicals that acted as accelerated stressors in the sharks DNA, accelerating the evolutionary change in the sharks bio-chemistry by eons.
Other than that. it-s a complete modern remake of the classic novel Moby Dick.

This game brings back Jaws: Unleashed and Jaws: Ultimate Predator memories. Being able to fight sea creatures way out of your league, killing some guy who is/was trying to kill you first, being an almost unbeatable shark that causes chaos and trouble everywhere in the ocean. Maneater is like the long lost son of the Jaws game series, just with a few more mechanic and gameplay elements.

Scaly Pete's obsession with sharks made him lose an arm and a leg as well as his family and friends, than finally, he lost himself. Albeit because a mutated shark did most of it.
