This is the peak of Shang Tsung's sorcery and treachery so it solidifies him as the REAL big bad guy in Mortal Kombat. Liu Kang, as the new God of Fire in that MK DLC, already knew this is going to happen, so he asked Fujin to play it cool with Shang Tsung, and yet Shao Khan and Sindel, after forcing the Cage family to be slaves and killing past Liu Kang and Kitana, became members of the ----- club.

Man they've dumbed down shao Khan into an average villain. They put him on par with kano and it's kind of ridiculous imo. EVERYBODY has killed him at this point. Kitana, liu, kung, shang. I miss the powerful shao Khan. Instead we get kronika. Which seems more like a DC villain than a mortal Kombat villain.

This is honestly why Shang Tsung is a better villain than Shao Kahn. Both are evil for the sake of being evil, not having some sad -relatable- backstory like most modern villains do these days, but Shang Tsung has an actual personality and charisma.

I will say that I love Shang Tsung as a character and villain. Not just because he's scheming and deceitful but also because he's one of the ONLY well written characters in the game. I'll go as far to say that he's better than Quan Chi

Seeing Sindel and Shao Kahn get what they deserve after being forced to play as them and defeat some of my favourite characters was one of the greates feeling ever. For that alone I like Shang Tsung.
