I wonder what type of tutorials he was referring to when he said 'there are tons of tutorials online' and granted, I know already there are tons of tutorials online. I think my issue is that i don't know where to begin looking.
I want to make a raspberry pi display a screensaver or something with old school white noise like from a TV back in the day onto an led panel, but i don't know what to search for. Do I type in- Screensaver setup for raspberry pi, raspberry pi tutorials, or what? I don't really know where to start.

This is extremely similar to how I built my Prince Robot IV head a few years ago. I really should have made a 'how I did it' video. and also should have made a 'tearing it apart' video because I ended up throwing the whole thing out recently.
But yeah, I used an old LCD TV from eBay for the screen, batteries in back helped counterweight, had success with a motorcycle helmet on the inside to keep it attached, raspberry pi for playback. I even used that exact same little wireless keyboard thing you have at 3: 06.

500th comment!
My grandma threw out her small old-timey TV and got a new one, and she gave me her old one
It doesn't work well, it only shows static. So when my dad comes home from his business trip, he'll help me try to set it up again.
If all fails, i'll make this TV head >: )Thanks for the tutorial!

I've been wanting to do a cosplay of Gumi's design in the Echo music video (by Crusher-P, totally recommend people give it a listen, but I couldn't figure out a way to best get the static effect. Thanks for making this video!

How heavy is the gutted TV without the added monitor and battery? I'm consider whether it make more sense to use a smaller TV and having it rest on my head or a larger one resting on my shoulders.

i really want to do this for cosplay, so i would have to wear it for a long period of time. my question is, is it easy to breath inside there? it doesnt seem like there would be a lot of airflow in the tv.

lazy. should've picked an LCD that fits the whole thing, behind a smoked glass, and make some ariduno or modded / cheap tablet board with whatever logic you want behind.

I see that you are good with eletronics. Can you make the phaser of Star Trek Beyond with light and rotating barrel? That would be cool

Isn't the whole point of the Saga comic series for it to be nearly impossible to adapt to live action?
