So all these years later, the people in question are proven innocent, the hunt turned out to be legal, the lion left the park on its own like it has in the past and entered private land where a legal lion hunting permit was issued to the Dentist. 42 lions per year are legally hunted in Zimbabwe, Cecil ended up being one of them thru his own choices. If Zimbabwe didnt want Lions to be hunted then why do they issue permits? In the end, it was actually Zimbabwe and the park staffs fuk up, and they tried to pin it on the now proven innocent Dentist. If Jimmy Kimmel was a honorable man, hed stand up once again on National TV and apologize to the dentist for wrongfully accusing him and harming his reputation!

3: 19 Really, that is the punishment for killing a wild animal illegally in America, 1 Year probation? Seriously? I just moved here but I used to live in India where it would get you 7 years in jail and a hefty fine.

Cecil had cubs. Male lions need to protect their cubs or they can be killed by nomadic male lions. He was a true Lion King. I hate trophy hunting!
