the show was amazing & I believe the cast were performing on an entirely different level, incredible perfomances that held you spell bound night after night, & of coarse the dramatic conclusion to each episode that made you want to carry on & watch the next episode.
It was such a shame after all that hard work & effort that they seemed to rush the final season which was shortened to 6 episodes. The final episode was very disappointing after everything that had gone before it & I think it showed in the acting-that same level of intensity was missing from the performances that had being present all the way through. I think to end it like they did was deflating. The obvious thing to me & probably everyone else that there were those deserving of the crown or to rule & Brandon was really not one of those people. He was at best a good advisor but that was it. His skills & foresight were of limited help to those that needed it throughout the last season so he never really shined in my opinion. Queen of Dragons did come through & deliver on what she set out to achieve under extremely difficult circumstances. I believe she should have taken the iron throne & ruled from Dragonstone as that was her home. John Snow should have returned to Winterfell as lord of Winterfell as an independant kingdom. Kings landing should have being given to the lord who worked beside Lord Stanis-he was a good man-very experienced, very well liked & highly skilled in diplomacy. Brandon could have being his advisor. Briean would have become personal guard to the Queen at Dragonstone & advisor. The Queen & John Snow eventually having a child together & uniting the kingdoms. Fairy tale ending. May I say the Queen of Dragons did what she set out to do & if innocent people died it was because the Queen put the people in harms way deliberatly, in order to save herself. That wasn't the Queen of Dragon's fault.

The seasons where they took over (season 5 and forward) were a gradual downgrade, devout of all coherency and logic. Things such as politics and even physical speed was neglected more and more. Characters were changed to act ways in which they didn't act before, and in some cases suddenly became dumber. These 2 not only failed to keep game of thrones to its high standards, they failed to keep them to even the lowest standards that we could've had for the show, even if we were being generous. They make me want to forget this show.

What's funny is I didn't care for the real pilot of GoT. It didn't really hold my interest. I had no idea Jaime and Cersei were supposed to be brother and sister. It was obvious they were having an affair, but the fact they were siblings wasn't made obvious. I just didn't care for it.
I only got into it when I binge watched the first 3 seasons years later.

My husband has been reading RR Martin's books since he was 13 yo. Its been a life long passion of him and he had read all of them. He is 55 now, so its his generation of geeks who are the die hard fans of GOT, who probably helped pushed the making and the popularity of the show.

Love them or hate them, I read 900 pages in two pages which I had never done. That right there is a man who just discovered his talent if you can only find your talent, nothing will stop you I'm so inspired by their story and know one day I will do the same.

These clowns destroyed one of the best series in history.
They're just hacks that had success as long as they did exactly what the books said, once they went by themselves they showed they can't do anything by themselves

I still appreciate their work till S8 E3, after that it's a nightmare. It all got ruined cause they wanted to end it quick, i even feel they did the eigth season only because they couldn't do it in seven.

We need to be more greatful for these 2 and this show, its a prime example of what not to do and Lowkey what to do and when for young directors or story tellers in general

What i wonder is how exactly did they get a hold of george first. and then contacted HBO. Is it like via reservations or do they just email them or through connection?
