There are also plenty of songs on their new album like Thick Skull, The News and Figure 8 that use some of the same influences as their original sound and are reminiscent of that period. Calling them washed up sellouts simply because they don t sound the way they did when you first heard them 20 years ago is an interesting take.

It was really awesome to see Taylor really experiment on this record and get more spotlight, as well as Zac adding a lot of cool old school classic drum tricks in the mix. Hayley really did some top lining on this record but it really allowed every member to fully embrace their own sound equally and share their own artistic capabilities. Been a fan since 08 and This is Why is my favorite record and upcoming era for the band because they all really seem happier than they re ever been playing together. That s what matters most. Amazing job Taylor, Zac, and a Hayley.

New Paramore sucks. I respect any band that tries a new sound, because it's silly to expect artists to re-make the same thing over and over. I actually LOVED their take on 80s new wave on After Laughter. But This Is Why is just so toothless and limp. It's just a snooze fest outside a few interesting moments.
Critics and hardcore fans may be falling head over heels for this, but its a really mediocre LP.

Am I the only one who doesn t dig this song. Doesn t sound like paramore anymore. I know bands grow and change styles but this isn t it for them.
If you dig it then kool.
But this one didn t hit it for me at all. The whole time I was like wth is this this isn t paramore music. I miss the old school sound they had for every album they made but this one.

impossibile not to fall in love with Hayley. She's hypynotazing, Zac is a monster. Taylor has such a great funky soul. I LOVE how Paramore gets so mature. I'm same age as Hayley and it's beautiful getting old with them. Oh. and man, I'm always late, I'm always out of time.

Lyrics are dull words idle! No feeling no real life in her sound no emotions only a familiar pop star sound with limp energy no magnitude of feelings and the voice has no character she s wining about time and it s time for a real artist.

Thays actually my least liked song of the album. Figure 8 and crave are better choices for a performance. The hook in the chorus is weak and lazy cuz she is running out of time the whole song repeatedly, aint got time for that: )

I like the song, and the performance was solid, but man whoever was operating the board was slacking. A lot of it sounds flat or just dead like they re in the booth. Zac, despite playing really well, is buried in the mix too.

Feel like this album is going to be like a Kid A for me, the more I listen the more I ll get it hopefully, 2 albums were released that day, This Is Why and Truth Decay and have to say I much preferred the latter

The cringe outfit matches the weird tryhard new music. wish they would just stick to their good stuff: ( certainly the worst album they've made. Barely has any songs too: ( even less likely one will be good.

Man, these guys have really honed in on their sound and live shows, they are such an impressive lean, mean, in-the-pocket machine. Can wait to hear how they continue evolving for the next album!
