I am also disgusted by Jill Stein and Cornel West- The Green Party has ZERO significance, is meaningless No wonder in a system where only the winner has ALL the power, up to 49, 99% have ZERO representation.
To gain ANY significance, the ONLY way would be to get people into local gremiums, cities, counties, states etc. and so gain profile.
But to run for president, is not more than narcisstic self-celebration. They NEVER have a chance to become elected.
Both are more or less left and anti-Trump, so they take away votes from the Democrats.
In 2016, the votes that went to Jill Stein would have been enough in the swing states to make Hillary win the election.
You can say the narcissim of Jill Stein enabled Trump, gave the world 4 years of rule by a salesman of the illusion of grandiosity, excellence and exclusivity.
I would tell it that into her face again and again. .

Who is protecting the vote
In the words of Charlemagne tha God: Maybe spend some time looking at how the GOP is already planning to steal the election by having corrupt state officials refusing to certify the results, getting corrupt judges to back them up, before the whole thing goes to the corrupt Supreme Court, that has already annointed Donald Trump a king, so now they can overturn the results of the election to declare him the winner in exchange for a new RV.
The Trump GOP is driving away whole voter demographics so crassly _it has to be intentional. _ It means that their plan to reinstall Trump in the White House does not involve winning votes but dividing Americans. Pitting the people against each other so any resistance against their shenanigans can easily be squashed.
None of the Jan 6 ringleaders have been held accountable in almost four years.
Not one.

Let this be a lesson to all the followers of political parties - this is all political theatre; what Noam Chomsky, whom you are taught to hate, termed as 'Manufactured Outrage'.
Behind the scenes, when the cameras are off, the politicians don't actually hate each other, they aren't at each others' throats, the way you/we supporters are. They all help each other out whenever they need, or at the minimum are civil to each other without screaming profanities at each other.
The common people need to understand that and band together just like the politicians do. Then, life will be much easier & happier.

Him saying that being a representative to some politicians is nothing more than merely just play acting. this is something that way too many people don't take seriously enough even though a lot of people already know this, but don't stop to really think that deeply about it. which is truly disappointing. The decisions these people make affect 100s of millions of lives domestically, and into the billions worldwide because of the massive influence America has on the entire planet.
But. it's just acting to these people because they're nothing more than characters being directed by their big $$$ donors.

Kennedy replacing Trump 3. 2. 1. Kennedys are like demons. Invite them in your front door and they will soon control the entire house. RFK was the ruthless politician with an emotive edge and RFK Jr certainly got the ruthless gene and more than likely got the emotive gene too. Every woman on the GOP voting council was in Kennedy's pocket by the end of week one of the Kennedy-Trump deal and then it is just a game of dominoes. 100 Kennedy books and reading on. Never make a deal with a Kennedy if you want your job.

Swalwell's confusion about his peers being nice is because he's hating the player instead of the game. You can be friends with someone and still be fierce competitors out on the field, and appreciate their effort to making the game fun or challenging. It's not necessarily fake of them to behave this way if they believe what they say. It would actually be a very mature mentality, as compared to someone like Marjorie Taylor Greene, who takes it all personally because she's an immature clown.

America the beautiful, how far we have fallen.
We are the comedic entertainment of the world at our own peril.
We are in trouble, and there will be no laughing and rejoicing if Project 2025 goes into play. At least not by the masses.
He is being honest when he said it is all a game for the wealthy and the elite.
We are completely under their control, as long as they keep the bread and circuses coming.

Another pandering politician that survives because both political parties NEED each other to keep us voters in constant conflict, thus justifying their existence.
Ironically, so many politicians of different political parties are actually friends in their personal lives, because they know that politicians are essentially like professional wrestlers.
Winners and losers are chosen to a degree, electoral

Wish you could have done a longer interview with this gentleman.
Him, Pete, and Jamie are truly remarkable men. Throw in Jasmine & CORTEZ who are also giving it to the Repubs faster than they know what hit them!
All of them standing together to get our Country back where it is about 'We The People'!

Finally someone sums it up, these career hucksters don't believe the first thing about the vitriol and nonsense they're spouting, and sleep with a smile on their face, free of a conscience that ought to be weighed down by all the hurt they endorse and cause with their policies.

Yay! Eric Swalwell & Colin Allred called home to say goodbye to their families & pivoted to get those who were most vulnerable out & then to protect the people's house. Cruz hid in the broom closet & Hawley ran to hide. I love that Eric is authentic with whomever is talking.

I think all the Republicans who know better. I really think they are TRULY AFRAID. That the trump followers will come after them and their families. Threatening their families. That's what they are scared of. Can you say honestly you wouldn't be vote blue.

I’m daily surprised the GOP isn’t tired of King Trump. But then I remember they’re terrified of him, the screechy dictator in training wheels.
Yet most MAGA candidates get crushed in elections. Maybe they should look at the data.

The Chaney Republicans are not 'socialists' Which means having a desire for social equality. Chaneys and the GOP are are 'Socialites' which means belonging to a minority wealthy elite which does not want any kind of social equality.

Very enlightening interview. Validating what I think a lot of us already knew. There are ELECTED officials who aren't taking the will of us, the people, seriously. It's a game show, and the cash prizes are flowing!

Trumpism will be defined and explained to future generations as the time when millions of naive and misinformed people allowed themselves to be blindfolded and led around by a corrupt con man who sold blindfolds.

Eric Swalwell is so good. He is calm and collected and speaks straight sense. I had not known much about him until now. He is a class act. And a young man. Democrats surely do have some brilliant members.
reply

Yes, it has been just like pro wrestling; one big sideshow act, but with real life consequences. Its time to get back to real life and retire the greasepaint and smokescreens.
Vote BLUE Vote HARRIS and WALZ

Whenever I think about the end of the Trump Era (lack of a better word - the Trump Chaos, I think of the last scene of the Truman show. People are invested but when it ends, eh On to the next. I can't wait.
