LGR Plays - Wasteland 2
video description
I found a Sega genesis, CDI, and Neo Geo IN the game as loot. I mean, how great is that?
I like your team by the way. My guys are Lee Van Cleef (Aka Angel Eyes, Fet from -The Strain-, Abraham Ford from TWD comic, and Black Out (my sniper) from the GI Joe universe. I tried to be as random as I could.
If there was one thing I can say I don't like in the game so far, it's the map layouts. Traversing is so damn tedious at times. I really hope they iron it out a bit. But the goods outweigh the bads tremendously.

What killed the game for me was the combat, several times I've had a high hit ratio and missed 9/10 times. It wasn't even need to level up thing, as this went on after multiple level ups and (you kinda see it in this video: missing point blank with a shotgun only to have your turn end and get your butt handed to you) that just drives me nuts, a 70-85% hit chance with a shotgun shouldn't mean -you can and WILL miss 4 times in a row-.

I had expected to be playing this game now, but I discovered on Friday that my -Wasteland 2- backer reward from the Torment: Tides of Numenera Kickstarter also included the original Wasteland.
Combining the -average- reported time to completion with my usual excessively methodical process in role-playing games, I suspect that I will not begin on Wasteland 2 until December.

how would you rate this game?
Honestly, since the beta I just cant get into this game, it doesnt offers anything new to me and I feel like I wasted my money.
I think its a great game and I loved the character creation, but I dont know I just cant get engrossed and immersed by this game, and I loved Fallout 2 and 1.

Loading screens for an ENCOUNTER? Last time I had to put up with these I was 16 and playing The Bard's Tale. On a C-64! This is NO way of getting me to spend money on a game that is so retro that it forgot to implement at least SOME of the advancements of the last friggin' 30 years of computer game development.

Thanks to Divinity: Original Sin, I am now more interested in this game. It's basically Divinity with guns. Not sure if it's current price tag is worth it though, although I did pay $40 for Divinity so I am certain Wasteland is probably worth it. maybe I'll wait.

Been playing the Director's Cut and holy shit this game is fun. It's got fun combat that you can get into. Reminds me of playing Fallout 1 without that annoying time limit. And without Fallout 2's overleveled enemies in the beginning areas.

After 26 years, Wasteland 2 is finally out! And needless to say, I am psyched. If you're not sure why I am, or are not familiar with the excellence that is the original game, then check out my review! LGR - Wasteland - DOS PC Game Review
