LGR - Donkey Kong Country 2 [aka I'M SICK AGAIN]

Been searching for my Wii to play the -new- game and when Wii U's are starting to get real cheap, the -even newer one-. Can't say I love snow levels but man are these some magical games. I wasn't sure it would hold up today, but it very much have! Anyone have tips for more games like this? I guess GREAT platformers in general, no run n' gun like Metal Slug although I love them too. I mean with a world view and progression with saves preferably, maybe passwords. I got most mainstream systems. Not too fond of Rayman.
If you are up for another SNES review, I recommend the HIGHLY underrated Prince of Persia port, with 20 levels and awesome music. Really recommend save states for that though, I do not have the patience to do it vanilla today, with the 120 min time limit.

Man, you must -REALLY- be sick if you think DKC2's soundtrack isn't as good as DKC1's. It's possibly my favorite game soundtrack of all time, and that's saying a hell of a lot coming from a guy who's been listening to Mega Man music every day for 25 years.
Yeah though, can't argue that it's a LOT harder than DKC1 (which wasn't super easy to begin with) and has a lot of stuff that'd be frustrating to deal with especially when sick, and double-especially if you're going for 102%. I also am with you on how lame it was that you didn't even get to play as Donkey at all in either of the SNES sequels to DKC; it'd have been cool if you got to unlock him at the end of the game or something, even if he was grossly unfit for the stage design of this game, or give the player a handful of levels to play with him as -- plus, him and Dixie for DKC3 would have been a much better decision and nicely tied together the trilogy than that dumb baby we got.

I actually like this one the best but I like Pirate themes, especially since David Wise remixed the theme he composed for Sid Meyer's Pirates (the likely inferior to PC but I still enjoyed Nes version) a few songs.
It does however demand more from you like secrets being required for completion rather than fun little random bonuses and stuff. So I can get why as a comfort game it'd be a little less fun.

Think I mentioned this before but you said it yourself in the video that you're thinking of opening a museum. Could be very interesting. Hi! Hope you get well soon. I have one suggestion/question. Do you ever plan on doing a review on some of the games of Disney Interactive? Such as Disney's Magic Artist Studio, Little Mermaid and that one from goofy where you have to renew a car which i don't recall the name? Sorry for my broken english.

I don't know when the game was originally released but some holiday around that time I hooked the SNES up to the living room TV and demanded that everybody watch this new and beautiful game I was playing. I am sure I annoyed the hell out of everybody with my geekiness.

my parents bought this for my sister when she was sick back in 95 lol which was the year I was born and the year I was shaped by dkc 1 and 2. still haven't beaten 2. lgr, help me beat it? afterwards we can watch full house and do various other 90s things.

You're pretty much the first person I've heard prefers the first game's soundtrack.
I'd say they're all pretty equally good.
I can't wait for the DKC3 review in 5 years (which I guess means I can't wait for you to get really sick again.

LGR I have a question. Have u heard of an old under rated PC game called The Wheel of Time? It's like a fps but with Magic and has graphics very similar to Thief. I really want you to make a video over it sometime.
