Join me as I go out thrifting, in search of games and interesting goods at various discount shops! Pretty dreary and rainy out this time, but that won't stop the search for stuff

You know, the most upsetting thing (to me at least, about these prices, is the fact that Thrift stores are supposed to be there for people who are struggling financially so they can still buy nice stuff and now they can't grab as much clothes (and other items) that they would normally be able to get. Here in Australia the two main stores are the Salvation Army and St. Vincent's. The main rule of thumb now is to just avoid the Salvos as they have fallen into the belief that Old = Valuable.
$90 for a Gameboy SP? No thank you.

I know this is super late, but the Atari Flashback 2 is the most sought after version. Because unlike the other versions, it could be hard-modded to make it play actual Atari 2600 cartridges. So prices actually shot up on those ones. Some of the later versions could be hard-modded for flash or usb, but not actual Atari Cartridges. I dont get it, because why not just get an actual 2600, they are way cheaper than buying a 2, and buying all the stuff to mod it.

Wow an old Computron! I nearly forgot that I had one of these growing up as a kid until you found it. I cannot remember how many floppies it came with but it taught multiple programs like spelling, math and phonetics, and if I recall a hangman game which was probably one of the better options. It eventually went from its original function as something to let all of the small outdoor lizards climb on my desk.

sometimes customers pick up few cheap items and some stuff they know have good value. they go up to the register and ask for a crazy discount knowing they wont accept. they bring the item back inside and hide them. then they just pay for the cheap items and come back later in the week claming noone bought the hidden stuff in ages and getting thier discount. shady but effective tactic if done in couple stores.

Ah the talking computron. I had one of those as a kid. I recall the voice synthesizer was horrible. It would ask me to spell a word and anything that contained the word -V- would not sound like it. My younger brother decided to one day take a piss on this computer when I was using it. The voice synthesizer kept going crazy and the computer shorted out. My grandparents had to get me a new one

I HAD THAT TALKING COMPUTRON! My mom still has it at her house and my daughter was playing with it the other day! It took a ton of D batteries, and when the batteries starting dying it would make weird number shapes and my brother and I would freak out!
Awesome find! I flailed my arms when it came on the screen, haha.

I used to have that exact keyboard at 3: 24 as a toy when I used to live in Goodsoil. It was complete and utter junk, but I lived in a village in Saskatchewan, and I didn't know any better, and I was a kid. Even then, though, I was a bit pissed that I could only play two keys at once.

_-I already have a couple of these-_
-Says that about every semi-rare system, never shows his collection to prove that he isn't just cheap or unaware of actual pricing-
Also
_-I don't have room for this-_
-No more space in Grandma's house for stuff-

When I was on holiday in Croatia, there was one day where I got up at 6am, was really tired but could not sleep at all.
I just thought -What the hell- and turned on LGR Thrifts.
5 episodes in, I fell asleep.
That's the power of LGR, my friends.
