Gameplay and overview of the eighth expansion pack for The Sims 4. Time to head off to college and seek that higher educational content! Like an abundance of robots, keg parties, and stress-filled exams. Let's jump into it!

Thanks, I really like your relatively positive attitude towards The Sims 4. .. unlike some people I know (Cindy - PleasantSims. She basically expects The Sims 4 to play like her The Sims 2 game. Well, it doesn't. The Sims 4 is an entirely different game with a different game engine.
Anyway, I like the amount of realism you get in The Sims 4 Discover University - tuition fees, scholarships, student loans, bills, expensive college textbooks, cheap eats, that ping-pong table, going to classes (The Sims 3 and 4 will have Sims literally going to a class, which is a rabbithole, which is an upgrade to The Sims 2, which will have Sims disappearing off the lot. I think Discover University may be the next EP I will buy for The Sims 4, simply because it seems to add new content and gameplay value to the Young Adult life stage.

honestly this might be the last expansion pack i-ll ever buy for ts4 at least until EA decides to get their act together which i question they ever will, currently i own cats and dogs, seasons, laundry day, and get together yet somehow my game is still bland so i-m just gonna get this and possibly get famous and then i-m done. i wish other sims players weren-t so loyal to the game bc then maybe we could collectively boycott the game for a good month or two(which tbh a lot of players do voluntarily sometimes when they get bored of the game) and then EA might finally lists bc they-re losing money but those die hard players who buy every single pack would never go for that so they-re kinda sabotaging the game as a whole.

Maybe I'm completely missing the point of the sims but I would find the university classes more fun and engaging if it gave you chance cards and perhaps sometimes instead of simple 50: 50 choices you had to do some math problems for technical classes or some fill in the blanks, find the best word sort of puzzles to give you a boost in your performance. It should also tell you if you're falling behind in any classes and give you the chance to study extra hard for that specific class (maybe that's already in the game I'm not sure.
It'd be cool if in the last semester you also had to do a thesis in your own time, further reducing the amount of free time you had available.

Goddamnit I hate this pack so much. It was my favorite pack in Sims 3 and this version is like generations behind. It lacks so much content, so repetitive and SO boring. You're constantly stuck doing homework and assignments. When you're not doing that you join pointless clubs that offers no enjoyment. All I wanted to do is just to cram as many ourses in one term so I can get outta there with a degree. By the 3rd term I get so bored i ended switching to another character to play with. I come back and my Sims is practically failing in school. I've completely skipped this expansions and use cheats to get a degree. A $5. 99 indie game has way more content than this garbage.

I had 3 roommates all go to Uni together, Dalise, California, and Link. I was originally thinking about having one Cali have a kid in Uni just to spice things up, but then Dalise got into a relationship and next thing I knew, she was pregnant. She-s in her third trimester right now, and can have the kid any moment, but the problem is that she is really study focused and didn-t want anything taking her away from getting perfect grades, so I-m not sure how this is gonna turn out XD. I think I-m gonna probably just have to get her roommates to help her take care of the kid when it-s born because I-m not sure she even has the time.
I-ll keep you guys updated if you want

I started playing this today. My sim started leaving to go to class early, got all the way to the building with 5 minutes to spare before class, and then immediately started going back to the dorm to get a glass of water. I cancelled the task, but they didn-t actually stop until they got all the way back into the dorm, and then finally started going to class. They got to class 5 minutes before it ended

This seems like an alright pack but I still wish it would have been Plumbots. They were so great in TS3 so I think they would be good in the TS4. Or EA would bring them back with half or less than what they were capable of in TS3 and just make it worse. At this point I am about ready for a Future pack again specifically for Plumbots. (and future was one of my fav TS3 packs)

Most of the video is great but I gotta disagree on not being able to understand how you are doing on classes part. If you don't miss any classes, do the homework and other tasks perfectly you will get perfect results. By using phone action you can e-mail all professors at once and it will tell you if you are doing good or not.

I like that Sim LGR's robot mate is called -She-. That way nobody has to worry about what is the proper pronoun for a humanoid robot, you can literally just say -she- every time, since that's her name.
oops I said -her- by accident. I meant to say -that's She's name. -. ummmm. maybe I overestimated how well it works.

does anyone know why like 75% of the students at in the pack are always sad? Just sims 4 being sims 4 (always broken AF) or did they think it was funny to make them all emo kids or something? I didn't go to university maybe that's why I don't get it but they all act like 8th and 9th graders not college students.
