No, your ears aren't deceiving you. That famous Transformer definitely sounds different in the trailer for Transformers One, and fans have a lot to say about it. #Transformers #TransformersOne #Trailer Voiceover By: Tim Bensch Read Full Article:

These videos by looper is just Hollywood marketing. One thing this commentator stated is BS because of how contradicting it is. he states the original voice actor wouldn't fit the role (when its just a voice ) because of his age and this is a prequel. yet what would you call the last film More than likely the whole video is some PR BS by the studio that there having looper say on their behalf in regards to the criticism the trailer is recieving; Deflecting from the bigger issue. It looks like cringing cartoon garbage, with the continuity ruined further. Universal is just dragging the franchise out to milk it; While ruining it at the same time. Every following film is lesser received than its predecessor.

this isn't meant to be optimus anyway, it's orion pax (who he was before he became optimus)
i don't think people who actually are fans would be complaining much about the light heartedness of orion since orion was always more light hearted and only became more serious when taking on the mantle of a prime, even peter cullen played orion the same way.
i think the actual issue (for me at least) is that this movie was pitched as a prequel to bumblebee, so im not extatic that it doesnt look the way the bumblebee movie opening did, to be honest they more resemble Transformers prime than anything (which is a great show but is NOT the same universe as bumblebee)

I haven't watched the trailer yet, but the one line they featured in this video with CH as OPax wasn't bad. The internet is making it seem like it's this abomination or something. I'll admit, after seeing the cast I was super skeptical, but that one line was enough for me to think that it might not be that bad. I heard our OP in there. At least an acceptable version based on the timeline at least. Good show on Chris for obviously putting in the effort. It's not horrible. I'm almost excited now. I also love Scar Jo's voice, so that's a bonus for me as well.

You know What the once are saying it and trying to BOYCOTT THE MOVIE ARE NOTHING BUT HATERS AND DO NOT WANT ANYTHING NEW I New Hemsworth was gonna be Prime Cullen is getting Old and When we Met Optimus Prime he was a seasoned Warrior an Older Experience Leader This is a Young enthusiastic version of Optimus and I welcome his voice because I can tell he put A LOT of Work in the voice to make it sound like Peter Cullens but the same time a younger version and I am actually looking forwred for this new Transformers Universe

It isn't too far off the mark if you look at what the Transformers: The Movie did with Hot Rod and Rodimus Prime.
Someone said it was Optimus before Puberty and that's actually an almost perfect analogy. The Matrix of Leadership actually changes their personality; to include voice.
Now the real question is whether this movie is actually trying to stick to that and give as a real, honest to God (Cybertron) origin story or just an attempt at another remake to market Transformers to 'them thar Fortnite kids! '.

While Peter Cullen will be the best optimus prime which i don't think anyone can replace ever chris did a great job doing a young voice or orion pax and as for the story it does looks like a new take on the story while it definitely looks goofy from the trailer i think it would be wrong to judge the movie based on the trailer alone i mean afterall it's a new take on their origin where at the end the will most probably transform into optimus and Megatron marking the end to their friendship

Just my personal opinion, I like how they are going back to TF roots back on Cybertron where it started. It's kind of old school with a more modern look. If this one succeeds and makes ppl forget a bit about Bayverse, then that is a huge plus.
Just have to say, the newer generation of movie goers and TF Fans(newer ones) are too quick to judge. Never judge a book by its cover!

I like how they're getting someone else to do Orion Pax (young Optimus Prime) such as Chris Hemsworth to do the voice to then show us what Prime was doing before he became Optimus Prime and how Megatron and Prime got there rivalry, but all we have to do is wait until the film comes out to see how people react to the young Optimus Prime.
reply

I’m ok with that cause it’s supposed to be a much younger Optimus before he even was in any war. So he doesn’t need to be pondering the next strategy to protect everyone. He’s just a regular Cybertronian trying to exist. Plus he doesn’t have the power or the wisdom of the Matrix. Totally fine with it.

I guess most of this fans have not watched transformers armada or transformers animated the later one having a similar approach on Optimus, being a younger and inexperienced bot maybe at the end we get Peter as Optimus and remember his Orion pax not Optimus yet his still kinda a very young bot
reply

According to showbizgalore Hemsworth is getting 20 million to voice Optimus, and Peter only made 500k for Rise of the Beast. This is so disrespectful to Peter pay the man. I know if Peter voiced Optimus in Transformers One it would have made more money. They just hating on the man.
reply

you're pointing the wrong thing the fans are criticizing about the trailer. The goof tone, the Pixar/Disney style and vibe, that's what causing the criticism. Maybe some are talking about the Optimus voice actor, but since this the young version of him, should be fine
reply

hes Orion Pax in this movie. literally says it in the trailer. Also we need to start getting sued to other voices, because if we become to reliant on Peter Cullen, we will be even more devsitated when he passes away. Which sadly due to his age is a major possibility.
reply

He’s younger. People who actually are fans of Transformers will understand this. His voice was even different when we saw Orion in G1. Some people need to get a grip. The new voice actually does sound like a young Peter Cullen Prime and it fits surprisingly well.
reply

here's the thing. he's. not. OPTIMUS PRIME! he's orion pax. before he was rebuilt as prime. he's younger. he's freer of soul because the things he did to create the great civil war hasn't happened yet. he will be prime one day. he's not prime now
reply

There have been many Jokers before and after Mark. the weird one was the CW younger Trickster, since Mark has played nearly every (perhaps even every last) version of him - except for that legacy villain learning at Mark-Trickster's feet.
reply

I don’t understand why people are so upset. Optimus has been voiced by other actors before. For example Transformers: Animated, the Unicron trilogy, Beast Wars, and the Netflix’s War for Cybertron trilogy did not have Peter Cullen.
reply

He’s not Optimus that’s why. He’s Orion pax, notice how his voice changes when he gets the matrix. Also this is not gonna be a typical kids movie according to people who saw other scenes at the screen con it was showcased
reply

Peter Cullen's Optimus Prime's voice was inspired by his heroic brother, a real life soldier. His brother frowned upon the fake Hollywood hero. What made Peter's voice so iconic was how real it felt, and how it honored his brother
reply

Chris Hemsworth met with Peter to discuss Optimus and show respect for what he’s done with the character. I have no issue with it but Peter Cullen is legendary as Optimus. It will be sad not to have him. I think the movie looks sick
