Just as well abc forced lynch to reveal the murderer quickly because we all know left to his own devices Lynch doesn't bother to reveal anything. Just look at lost highway. Lynch is into quantum physics and is happy with quasars rather than atoms because they are more like chaotic wavelengths and dont explain anything as they still arent the smallest matter. If you also go by the slit theory of shroedeners box wavelengths can turn to particles if viewed and if not viewed stay the same atomic structure which means that reality is shaped by our witnessing something ie if a tree falls in a forest and no one sees does it really happen?

There was a recent story on NPR's Studio 360 about a guy from Twin Peaks, CA who was wrongly accused of his girlfriends murder. He wrote a book saying the Laura Palmer story was based on his girlfriend's murder, that Lynch lived not far away at the time, and that he pitched a movie idea called Up At The Lake in the 80s. There at least three real life women, including Monroe, that i've read were the central inspiration for TP.

i would have hated lynch if he didnt reveal the killer before the series got cancelled. new season hes setting up lot of sub plots at a very slow pace. hope they have a conclusion. its not cool to troll ur audience. last episode s03e12 felt like a troll episode to test audience patience. i am really on the tread now to stop watching this show. miss the charm of old dale cooper and audrey. thats what i loved about season 1.

Ray Wise told a story about seeing Piper in disguise on set. He said that after the first day, people were rumoring that it was Piper but nobody wanted to upset her. Ray ran into her at one point, knowing full well it was her. Piper bowed graciously to Ray, and then Ray, struggling not to laugh, slowly bows to Piper in return.

Twin Peaks has not changed. When it comes to how weird it still is, It like the X--Files but without the X in it. But really did not fallow the show back in the day, it was more like the Wonder Years and Tour of Duty, With 21 Jump Street and Married with Children. But Lynch is still cool for doing Dune and Wild Heart.

Lynch and Frost did have to film a non-canonical ending for the international market for the pilot episode so that Warner video could release and market the pilot as a stand-alone movie and BOB was revealed in that as the murderer of Laura Palmer although the Leland connection wasn't part of that story.

I was just watching The Fringe episode The Firefly and Walter put on a pair of glasses like De Jacoby's. His assistant Astrid sadi something about he glasses and he said they were made for him by a Dr Jacoby in Washington State. I've never noticed that reference before.

OMG! I was a fan of the show in the 90's and lately became a fan and admirer of Marilyn Monroe. It lately occurred to me there were similarities between Laura and Marilyn, but I know see these similarities were not a coincidence!
p. s. Of course Monroe was murdered.

Thanks, makes me want to watch the original series again. I have forgotten a lot. Eraserhead was. .. interesting. I stole a bit of sound & dialogue for an early recording. Hated Mulholland Drive. I was one of the dumb people who just didn't get it! Poor me.
