Given the mixed results legacy sequels have gotten, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice easily could have been relegated to box office purgatory. While it's entirely possible for someone in Hollywood to make a 3rd movie in the series (making the obvious title: Beetlejuice Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, for comedic purposes) I don't think they will since everybody's stories from within the film are complete. Though if they were it'd have to be with a different director & somebody new playing The Ghost with the Most. A possible storyline I can see for the sequel, which piggybacks off of its Broadway popularity is this: a down on his luck theatre major inherits a haunted theater known for its activity. After being chased around by the ghost within, by some chance he summons Beetlejuice & asks him to not only kick out the ghost but make his show(s) a success. The Juice makes it a success but makes it so that people won't remember who made the show, they'll only remember the name Beetlejuice, giving said ghost more notoriety.
This movie could be a take on the classic monkey's paw idiom i. e. an object or situation that brings about unintended consequences or misfortune

The movie was not good. It was just okay. It had many flaws. It's easily a 6 out of 10 movie. That being said I did find some enjoyment out of it. I think most people don't know how to separate their enjoyment and good feelings for a movie from how well made it actually is. I see fans calling this movie either a 9 or a 10 which implies that it has no flaws and could in no way be improved upon, which is just absolutely delusional to believe. It's okay to enjoy average or mediocre movies. Their entertainment value is in no way tied to a critical rating of the movie's quality. The worst thing a movie could ever do is simply not be entertaining.

Entertaining, I liked it but kinda meh towards the end, seems like other scenes or plot for characters are rushed and put more screen time on the wedding song. Delores intro and build up is good then suddenly killed off, would be nice if a little more scenes for Delores and confused Rory for having I Delores shirt. Also the ghost boyfriend was suddenly killed off, kinda feels rushed. Lastly Dafoe, seems like mixed of idea on his caracter that makes me confused on his role, I'm expecting him to fire his gun and a props of Bang! will appear, I missed Juno, the old lady boss in part 1.

Saw it last night. It was so fun and hilarious. Michael Keaton was literally the best part of the whole film for his goofy and entertaining performance. Also, the film opened so big due to nostalgia, positive word of mouth, no political agenda, the popularity of the cast and Tim Burton’s involvement, and legacy sequels tends to do well depending on execution like how it benefited Top Gun: Maverick and Twisters.

Original is one of my fave films ever after seeing it at the cinema, the new one was ok but there was a lot of relationship or marriage stuff, Delia wanting to see Charles, Astrid wanting to see her dad, Rory wanting to marry Lydia, Delores wanting Beetlejuice who was wanting to marry Lydia, Jeremy wanting Astrid etc

Won’t be watching. After his comments about how Black people don’t fit the aesthetic of his worlds I don’t think he should get my support as a Black person. If his fantasy world can’t handle Black people he can’t have my money. I hope everything he does fails. He’s a racist.

Because since I saw Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice last Friday, I can’t get it out of my head just keeps blowing my mind away especially the original it’s so much the. Genre especially originals is unique in a way I can’t stop thinking about it every day from now
reply

I’m almost certain this didn’t blow anyone away. People were excited to watch this for nostalgia sake but for myself it was overall terrible. Would have been fine without watching this sadly, but I will say it did have some very funny moments.

People loved the original and it girl Jenna being in the sequel. A shame box office does not say anything about quality. Beetlejuice Beetlejuice is not very good, poorly written, boring, and doesn't work.
reply

The new ghostbusters movies aren't that good, largely because it went from adult oriented to children oriented.
New Twisters is good because they kept it adult with new cast members.

reply

I watched it recently, loved it! But the existence of beetlejuice and of beetlejuice beetlejuice, implies the possiblility of beetlejuice beetlejuice beetlejuice.
reply

And I really think Tim Burton should really should really keep working on his next new project and please hope it will be another success for his career
reply

The movie was scattershot as this video said. It did have all the nostalgic elements but it was really only something to watch & had way too much going on.
reply

Didn’t expect this massive success, I didn’t know if they would be able to do the original movie justice. Glad they managed to make a good movie.
reply

Because it's BeetlejuiceNo need to watch the video. We see Lydia, her daughter. Jenna is perfect for it. We love BJ and always will. Third movie Why not
reply

I don't understand how everyone is liking this movie. As someone who literally grew up on the original, I really did not enjoy this sequel.
reply

It was always going to be huge, don't understand people's surprise about it. It just goes to show that common sense is a thing of the past
