The Most Insulting Video Game Endings Ever Galvatron: I started watching this video, and i did actually think i really hope they mention Fable 2, and you did, so very well done. I really liked the first fable, and was hoping for something better in Fable 2. no. The only improvement in Fable 2 was the graphics. thats it. The game wasnt as fun to play, there were too many chores, and of course, it had a very lame ending. You picked either Sacrifice, Love or Wealth as an end game reward, where no changes in the world happend after choosing, and all you got was just a measly small letter to read from the villagers. as the ending. The ending in F2 was a total cop out.

I disagree with the view that ME3's ending was terrible. It was awful without the DLC but keep in mind EA forced them to release on schedule, after giving the dev team an unrealistic timeline. Every Mass Effect game has choices at them end that have the same outcome (of sorts. The only difference is that, which is why people are so pissy about it, is that Mass Effect 3 was the end of that story arch. So you didn't get to see how your choices affected the ME universe in later games.
But here is a run down ME1 has 4 choices (save the council or let them die) & Does Udina or Anderson become the human rep on the council.
ME2: has only 2 choices (Destroy the Human Reaper or Salvage it, which is ultimately pointless because it is revealed in ME3 that the Illusive Man managed to slavage the blasted thing anyway.
Honestly, the insulting ending to me seems to be ME2's because it makes literally no difference what you choose because ME3's storyline has the Human Reaper being slavaged no matter what.
NOT ME3's ending.

Bioware would have gotten away with that shitty ending if it hadn't been for the fact that during development of the first, they SPECIFICALLY PROMISED that players would get a satisfying ending based on all of the decisions they make throughout what was announced as a trilogy, and the fans supported that decision with a lot of good will and praise, and that loud praise is what brought the first game to the notice of the general public.
The general player moaned about the ending, but the actual invested fans who had supported Bio since the BG days and before were angry at the egregious, barefaced lies they were told. It was a genuine complaint against the outrageous indifference to the fan base, in favour of a completely different audience as demonstrated by the fact that the third game turned into a FPS.
Of course they fired the writer and changed direction for the story for 2 onwards, which left the whole endevour a bloody mess, but that's the least of the series problems.

I'm confused by this video. It feels like it was made to just hate on people's favorite franchises. Writer, you picked many games that had intentional cliffhangers or unsatisfactory endings which all had those for a reason. Halo 2 was bc there was always going to be a 3rd installment. Idk if you've ever actually played a Fable game but they all have similar endings where the choices you make result in both good & bad, there is no perfect ending which is appropriate considering life isn't perfect. And can we quit bashing on Mass Effect 3. Was it the best ending, no, but ignoring how wonderful the franchise was as a whole is ridiculous. I don't find any of these endings insulting as much that some are dissapointing until you realize how much fun it was to get there & see the impact regardless. You're entitled to your opinion but hating on popular games for the sake of hating on popular games just seems like a silly way of getting views.

OK. i ran cursor over the bar just to make sure Rampage on NES was in it. This video is legit. I spent a very rare whole sunday to myself beating it, sick as a dog. I mean I had a fever, and by all rights should have not been doing anything, but I played through it with one eye open, passing out a few times, just to see the end. huge monster movie fan and Rampage was fantastic, and the game was on loan. Talk about a grind.
btw my first game ever beaten was space invaders on atari 5200. I'll never forget the elation, esp since I was the only person in the family to take the system that far, I was very young, and it was a family console. the ending? it simply resets. my reaction? complete peace and tranquility. it was a real challenge, not a grind, and as a small child magical.

Literally the only way to not get the ending of Final Fantasy 10 is if you didn't listen to the story. It was so straight forward, they find out Tidus is held together by the existence of SIN. Once the player and Yuna learn about this its a sad feeling because the whole journey has been to go get prepared to go kill SIN. So killing SIN will also free Tidus from existance by freeing his spirit. Yuna likes Tidus and vise versa but Tidus also wants to be a hero and understand there should be no SIN in the world. Yuna understands what Tidus is saying they go on with the story plot of killing SIN and breaking the 100 year tradition by killing all the aeons along with SIN. Once SIN is fully dead Tidus no longer has SIN to hold him in this world so his spirit is freed.

Final Fantasy Crisis Core the biggest insulting ending where your character Zack Flair died by countless soilders you do whatever you want try all your high power you are gonna die. i really don't understand when my character gonna die in the end why i have to play so hard. that's humiliating
I mean if my character die in that game or that story they can able to make good cinematic instead making that last level
that game Cinematic is really awesome but really i have to play that game to kill myself
the way those troops kill you. and once that done all credit scene over you go back to that last level.
I like Assassins creed, batman arkham where at least after finish game your character still alive to explore and complete other task.

The Mass Effect ending was fine, I felt, but I picked the synthesis ending. Everything that had happened up to that point made the heroic final sacrifice all the more meaningful, especially if it meant absolute peace across the whole fricken galaxy, with all races, organic and inorganic, achieving accord. Even if an ending had left him alive and problems solved I still would've chosen that one. It's like Square killing off a character in Final Fantasy that everyone loves, only this time it's you making that sacrifice to save everyone instead of some side character. That's what it means to be a hero, that willingness to make such a sacrifice.

I agreed with all of them Accept FF10 and Borderlands the point of their endings were the plot twist in itself.
FF10 was clever basically like Auron you died in zanarkand when you were playing blitzball with that fall.
His ability to believe he was alive was a deception we all fell for but in the farplanes you kind of get a clue.
Borderlands it was meant to be a troll so the people who wanted to go in well that was the point i can't believe people actually took it to heart. That game is full of trolling humor lmaooooooo.
I guess the 2 games there went way over your head and people like you. Liked the video anyways.
