Had to give this one a thumbs down, age has nothing to do with maturity, or love. its all about being with someone you are comfortable with and makes you happy, as long as both are adults ( legal age ) there are no rules.

True Detective did have one but I think it was handled realistically and maturely. Not that it was right morally though, Marty was cheating and was bordering an abusive and controlling relationship with the younger girl.

It's just art imitating real life. Walk down the street in any city or large town and you will see the same sort of age gaps in lots of couples and they will be a couple for a variety of reasons.
