Things About The Lego Movie You Only Notice As An Adult Markus: its not in the kids imagenation. 1. the lego realms are bigger in universe than the tables they are built on, theres walls between realms and even water. none of that shows up once we see the basement. 2. theres a litteral magical portal wich transports Emmet from lego world to the real world. 3. Emmet is still selfaware and can move around once he is in the real world. 4. the man upstairs and the child are basicly gods for the lego world, what they build effect the lego pepole who sees only their hands reaching down from the sky. 5. Whean Emmet finds the KRAGLE he is picked up from his own dimension into ours by the kid, thats why he ahs such weird flashes. So to sum it up. the lego world is a selfcontained universe with in their basement and what the kid makes or thinks up in ways effectthe lego universe, but they are still selfaware pepole.

uhhh, that last point is actually. way off. 8I When you analyze the events of 'imaginary story', especially considering that the kid's dad is voicing the villain. it's actually a really savvy tale about how the kid is rebelling against the dad. It all happens over the course of a few days while the kid is trying to figure out how to stop his dad from krazy gluing everything. Even those container cells for the master builders? Those are actually similar to real world platic bins you can buy for your special edition mini figs. It takes a bit more effort, but you can work backwards and piece together what was going on IRL while the movie 'takes place'

Despised Fabuland? Wth? Also, who finds Friends line controversial? It's too pink, too girly to be considered real Lego? F that. Finally Lego has a proper, System compatible (none of that dolly Belville crap) pink line up alongside all the trucks and ninja stuff, for those so inclined. And how many new minifig accessories have come along with that lineup? No more eating only sausages off the table with your bare hands for example. Your minifigs are civilized and more diverse than ever now.

Anyhoo, this is splitting hairs, but both the right and the left missed the point of the Lego Movie. if you look into the philosophy it's much closer to anti-consumerism (which is notably different than flat out anti-capitalism, and can actually coexist with capitalist ideals. But that's a lengthy discussion in itself, and trying to talk politics on youtube is like talking to fish by sticking your head underwater.

The storyline of The LEGO Movie also has a lot in common with George Orwell's 1984: One supreme leader forbids any im agination and makes the people do the exact same routine every day and eventually, one man realises that it's all wrong and joins the rebellion. (In 1984, however, this didn't end well, because he was tricked into thinking he joined the rebellion, while he actually didn't)

He forgot the most obvious thing: This WHOLE entire movie is based on the storyline of the Matrix. The special = The One Those black robots that were attacking people are VERY similar to the robots in the real world in all of the Matrix movies. After Emmett saw the real world and realized the truth he was able to see everything in the Lego world.

People throw weird political theories on this movie just because the villain is a President. Shoot some people assume this movie is Socialist which jokes on them they clearly never watched the movie.
But tbh at least they didn't shove a whole lot of dirty jokes in this movie like they did with uh
certain Disney Movies

Oh come on if it was supposed to represent a child playing with Lego where's the marvel characters I'm pretty sure every one has put iron man and batman together when when they get the chance
Oh and there is no way that the dad of the movie didn't have marvel sets he had everything even Abraham Lincoln

For anyone who says that this movie is anti-capitalism, then why are there Lego sets based on it? Even if there weren't, it's about a real life toy brand and is actually a giant product placement. I think that's just kind of how the kid sees his dad's office job.
