. um. the impressive body of work above hardly looks like a career that has died to me.
You can't just write an actor off on the basis of one bombed movie, for God sakes! What you have to realise is that Kitsch is one of those actors who, when knocked down, just picks himself up, dusts himself off, gets up again and moves onto the next project. He has stated that he refuses to be defined by box office, as both an actor and as a person. Now that is integrity. He is an actor who has shown time and time again that he has the talent, determination and humility to just keep going. Taylor Kitsch is now known in the industry as one of the finest, most versatile, hardest working and respected actors out there at the moment, and as mentioned before is the embodiment of integrity, a quality mean-spirited little squits like you who compile these spiteful lists know nothing about. Sorry to disappoint you Sparky, but Taylor Kitsch isn't going anywhere. sorry. :/

I have never gone to a movie because someone was in it. I go to movies if the plot/ topic is interesting. Outside that, it usually comes down to how directed it or produced it. Generally, they have far greater control over the quality or lack of quality of the film. For example, I wouldn't go see a Michael Bey film because apart from Armageddon, the rest of his work is pretty much crap/ blast fest. If I was an actor today, I look at the producers, the directors (including casting directors) and less at the actual part itself. If it means your career (so the studios tell us) then that is a must.

TBF Battlefield Earth is nowhere near as bad as its reputation suggests. It's bad alright but it's NOT the worst movie ever made, not even close!
It's actually a bit of a guilty pleasure.
The connection with Scientology turned people against Battlefield Earth before it even came out and it's that connection that continues to fuel the hatred of this film.
Judge the film on its own merits - It's bad but not THAT bad.

At certain point I think actors need to retire just like normal people. it doesn't mean there not bankable. Some are also exhausted from struggling while they were not successful. but at least there known and that's what matters to them now that most of those names you named are like in there 40s or 60s they don't have to do much of anything anymore. Unless younger they still need to get work.

I hate when people blame actors for why movies bomb. There are many components that go ito why a movies fails at the box office and its not always the cast. Also, all these actors are literally STILL working today. Bad movies get made all the time. And sometimes stars like Freddie or Deni have had enough taste of stardom to realize that they no longer want it anymore. This video is pointless.

I really liked Taylor Kitsch on Friday Night Lights, but it wasn't just one movie that flopped his career. John Carter, Battleship and arguably even Oliver Stone's Savages under-performing in that quick of a succession is probably going to kill just about anyone's movie career. Not saying they're all his fault, but you can't expect studios to keep fronting him as a leading man after that run.

Bolt, Hairspray, Wild Hogs and Swordfish were all made by Travolta after BFE and while not catapulting him back to the top, they were successful films. You make it seem like BFE killed his career. He might not be the most demanded star in Hollywood these days, but I would hardly say 29 films and a recurring role on a decent crime drama an ended career.

I think Freddie Prinze Junior just needs the right role. He made an appearance on an Episode of Psych, which he was really good in. He has been really, really good on Star Wars: Rebels and his other voice over projects. Alicia Silverstone is a bit of an odd ball. That whole Mouth Feeding her baby thing I think did more damage than Batman and Robin.

While widely reported as a box office flop, John Carter about broke even, it made about 40million above it's budget, plus an additional 40million in US DVD and Blu Ray Sales. I can't find figures for International DVD and Blu Ray sales, so that's more income. It will have made further money in streaming and TV transmission sales too.
