Going along with the Duffer brothers admiration of Stephen King: at the end of Season 2 Dustin is standing alone at the dance and Mike walks up to him and says, Holy sht, what happened to you? He was commenting on his hair. But in the 2017 version of IT, Finn Wolfhards character, Richie, says the SAME EXACT THING to Ben Hanscom (played by Jeremy Ray Taylor) when they find him outside of the tunnel bleeding out of his stomach in the river.

All those movies or tv shows you showed were from the 1980s and Stranger Things is taking place in the 1980s. The Duffer brothers made it seem like those movies because the cast had to watch 1980s movies to be able to understand their roles and they some interesting part of the movie and put in the movie just differently so it isn't copyright I don't see why you assume that they are copying other 1980s movies.

I'll jump on the bandwagon, agreeing that I felt Dustin's storyline with Dart was FAR more Gremlins than Alf. Not only is Muse nowhere close to being Lucky from Alf, but with so many other ham fisted references in the show, Alf's supposed reference is too weak. Where is the peanut butter and Help Me Rhonda or Barbara Ann? Unless you want to maybe link Barbara's death to the cat's death as a reference?

I was wondering if Max has a link with Max Caulfield from Life is Strange. Max Caulfield is being called madmax too, and, when Max from ST gets introduced at school as Maxine (which is also Max Caulfield's full name) she says something like it's Max, no one calls me Maxine which is almost the same as in Life Is Strange. Coincidence? Anyone else who noticed this. I need answers xD

Am I the only one who thought of Mulholland Drive at the first sight of the blue cube that Bob brings to Joyce's house? In fact, thinking back to how freaking dark and disturbing the movie is, when I saw it in the hands of two positive, lovely and innocent characters as Bob and Mike, I mentally screamed beware sweetie, put that evil object down!

I think there's an Easter egg about Lost too. In the first season while a certain Shepard was about to go for the first time in the upside down in the lab. The doc is similar to Jack's father and the sound the rope makes while Shepard is going there is the same of the monster in Lost. And there are other details during the serie

There are also references to Lovecrafts and his short stories. For example: Hawkins Power and Light (the cover used by the men from the lab): juste take the first letters. H. P. L. Howard Phillips Lovecraft.
And there are also those tunnels under the town which remind my of those in a Lovecraft's short novel, the Lurking Fear

Another cool easter egg is when Bob is trying to encourage Will to stand up to his fears and tells him a story of a creepy clown who taps him on the should when he's young and haunts his dreams. This video already mentioned the Stephen King parallels in Stranger Things, but I think that particular It reference is worth noting.
