When you watch this and realise that people want special effects and not complex stories told. Mad Max is a superior film to all of its sequels because of what it deals with and how it deals with it. Same with terminator, by far the superior movie in the subject matter and how it dealt with it.
The sequels are great films and they may have done better because they were esker to understand for the average filmgoer, in mean there are peoole that think aliens is better than alien, and I think that says it all really.

Way better? No dude just no. When I first saw the headline I thought you were nuts because sequels are never better than the originals but I basically forgot about some of these. However you can't say way better. The truth is some of these are equal to the originals but not way better. Godfather 2 is in the top ten all time but it's not better than Godfather which is also in the top ten all time. Spider-Man and Star Wars also equal not way better. Also no Terminator movie is as good as the first. Not close.

I enjoyed the video; some Ive seen. most I havent. I have to disagree with a few tho: BTTF pt. 2 is a good movie, I enjoy it but not better than the original. As much as I love Terminator 2, its not better than the original (special effects yes, but overall no. Also Evil Dead 2 (a personal favorite as I love horror movies, especially throwbacks) isnt better than the original lol. I dont mind horror/comedy but pt. 2 is when the comedy started to take over the horror. pt. 1 was scarier but still funny.

Don't agree on Back to the Future. While yes the second was a more complex story about time travel, and gave us an interesting view of the past and future (still waiting on my flying car, it didn't have the charisma and joy of the first movie, or even the third. You have a real theme going with this list. The darker movie is always better in your mind, and while that's true in a few cases, it probably says more about your character than these actual movies!

I agree with this list except for 2 movies. Back to the Future was better than Back to the Future 2. And even though The Terminator 2 had a huge budget and state of the art special effects, the original is still the best! An evil Arnold Terminator is much better than a good Arnold Terminator, and just because they have the effects to make a liquid metal Terminator doesn't make it a better movie. My opinion anyway.

After 15 years rewatched terminator 1 and 2. One is the best and will always be the best 2 now sucks bad. I can see how me as a 12 year old would have liked it but now at 29 years old it just sucks while 1 is great. It kind of bothers me how 1 is not talked alot. I belive people love 2 more because of nostalgia and that was the first terminator movie they because 1 was rated r while 2 was pg 13.
