What The Cast Of NYPD Blue Looks Like Today Kara: I used to watch this show as a kid. I had watched it since I had a huge childhood crush on Jimmy Smits: . They should have mentioneed him playing the lead roll in Stephen King's The Tommyknockers. This and the Law&Order series (original, SVU, CI) were always my favorite cop shows to watch growing up. I wish Netflix or Hulu would have this on their sites.

Watching the whole series again on Hulu. Watched the episode where Simone dies tonight. I was pissed when he died on the show. I was pissed again when I found out later he wanted written out to do another show and I'm pissec all over again tonight. He was a good character.

Some of the missing cast were Rick Schroeder, Andrea Thompson, Justine Miceli, Bonnie Sommerville, Jaqeline Obradors Amy Bremmamen but I thinki inmispelled so me of the names. These were all detectives and I didn't include any of the Captains of the sqaud or PA's.

Dennis Franz and Jimmy Smits were great.
David Caruso always tried to appear cooler than he actually was.
We now know he behaved like an asshole.
Nothing worse than an inflated ego, especially when the talent can't justify it.

I hated that show, more than half of this took place in the interrogation room kind of like watching Ralph and Alice in their apartment for the entire 30 minutes or something, I wonder why Rick Schroeder and Tanika Ray weren't featured?

I always liked the mid-70s Cop show Police Story. At that time it was considered one of the best. I'd like to get all the episodes on DVD if they are available. Lots of big time actors were featured.

One of a really great series. Wish they were still being shown. Great actors and closer to reality then other police shows. Brings back many memories for retired police officers like me. Great show.

At about 4: 27 - 4: 32, when the narration talks about actor Nick Turturro as the character of Det. James Martinez, they are showing shots of actor Esai Morales as the character Lt. Tony Rodriguez.

I only watched it for the intro & Andy beating the shit outta suspects, those are the 2 beat parts of the show. NYPD Blue dominated the '90s, along with the OG Law & Order & ER
