The Untold Truth Of The Lost Boys vincent: Some strange things people might not be aware of this movie: the character Mike/Michael is said 154 times in the movie (insanity. The vampire Dwayne character's name is never said throughout the whole movie, and the widow Johnson character who isn't even in the movie is said 2 times. Also, the song I still believe was made by a band named THE CALL (who were from santa Cruz) surprise! Which was recorded in 1985 and released in 1986 on the album reconciled. Furthermore strange is that when you see the security guards wife putting up his missing poster, there is another poster next to it showing an event that took place in 1985, when Lucy walks in to Max's video store there is a standing cutout of national Lampoon's European vacation which came out in 1985 and when Sam goes into the video store to tell his mother about the vampires there is a cutout of kiss of a spider woman which came out in 1985 factor in with the I still believe song recorded in 1985 and you got to think was this movie made in 1985 and how so. Strange things to ponder!

Some of these are really dumb. Either the writer was drowning the last of the quaaludes in the 80s or didn't live through them. The gay connection. sort of a stretch. They all seemed interested in the girl on the merrygo round. Most of them looked more like poison or any other hair metal band and Sutherland character was a billy idol wannabe.
By 87 a single mother in a movie was hardly culturally subversive karatenkid and 9thers beat them by half a decade or more. The father figure being a single father was hardly the representation of the traditional family either and it would seem less than subversive since it suggested they might have turned out better if they had a mother.
Finally probably half the mentions of Micheal were in a single seen when they were chanting his name. unironically not all that different from any frat initiation. which is more like what the movie was shooting for.

I'm from the Bay Area and my parents have friends who live in Santa Cruz. I'v been to the Boardwalk a few times, and riding the Big Dipper has always been a dream of mine, but I haven't gotten around to it because I haven't been there in a while. I hope to make it there this Summer. I have since moved away from SF. When me and another SF native friend were watching Lost Boys, we immed-iately recognized the Big Dipper, and he was like, Hey, it's the Santa Cruz beach boardwalk, and I'm like, Oh, yeah, it is. I'm proud to have my homestate as the setting for ant movie (unless it's downtown LA. Then I kinda hate it automatically.

The Lost boys was an excellent movie on point. what I really liked about it in the very end the good guys win and the bad guys the vampires die off. Nowadays in the new kind of scary movie genre it's the bad that seems to win no matter how good the good try the bad always wins and lasts out that's a negative portrayal to show people that is really sad shows you where everybody's mind is when they're making these scripts and movies the bad guy is the hero? What is going on with this

Feldman is, was and will always be a douchebag. after he reached about 16 his acting was HORRIBLE at BEST. why people still like him is beyond me, especially after his recent antics of holding hostage the info of molestors who are most likely still harming children today. and the disgusting ways he treated his female band mates on tour. hes a pervert and STILL a drug addict. listen to the interviews from the ban girls and tour bus driver. he cant keep failing enough

During filming one of the comic book store scenes, Feldman was on a massive come-down from trying cocaine the night before, he got into trouble that day.
For anyone interested, check out his autobiography 'Coreyography', it's a fantastic read and you'll never watch his movies the same way, it's enlightening.
It has both ups and downs, but it's worth the time.

I love this movie and have been watching it since I was a kid. Ive always enjoyed them driving into town and the mom changing the radio station and stopping on the People are strange song which set the tone for the movie. Then Michael is looking for a job and asks Flea from the Red Hot Chili Peppers if theres any work and he says nothing legal lol classic!

Joel Schumacher was a damn good director. Then, Batman & Robin happened! How can such a competent director fall get so much wrong. It's crazy man. He did A Time To Kill in between his two Batman films. That movie was fantastic. He has never completely recovered from that movie. He did do Phone Boothe in 2002, which was good, but nothing else of note.

So he admits that these propagandists that are owned by international finance were indeed trying to break down the family.
They said, See, being a broken family is a good thing. We can kill vampires if we divorce our spouses. And traditional families can't do that!
The ADD zombie army that we call the general populace eat this up.

Lost Boys is an all time face movie of mine. Once decided to watch all the sequels with low expectations. Trust me, no expectations can be low enough. The Tribe is genuinely the worst film I've ever seen. The thirst is better just for Feldman but it's still not great.
