Why is she not in jail btw. The Police had no evidence that her roommate was the killer, or there even was killer. What they would know is that the poisoned cupcake was on the roommates face, signaling the possibility that Tree killed her. Also, she pushed her out the window. This all points to Tree having a mental illness and killing her roommate due to it. I am not saying that I am disappointed that the killer was brought to justice, just saying that the ending makes no logical sense.

I think Tree was actually killed by Lori at first. Then she went to the after life and it wasn't necessarily a good place. Her mom had a conversation with the leader of the good after life and convinced him to give Tree another chance. The leader wiped her memory of being killed by Lori the first time and everyone else's memory of that day and set up the time loop. It wasn't completely just until she killed her killer but until she became a better person.

I feel like the movie poster in Carter's room is a clue to the killer. The one right above where she wakes up is a They Live poster, a movie about a guy that is able to see through the superficial facade of everyone around him to expose an evil plot. Kinda like how her room mate is putting on a front to seem friendly and also how maybe Tree is putting on a front to seem mean. And it's only when that facade is broken that she can live again.

I didn't believe the roommate, Lori, was Babyface. A woman's habitual body movements (kinesics) -- like throwing objects and running -- are quite different from those of a man, and Lori would not have had the strength to do some of the things Babyface did in Tree's various confrontations with Babyface.

It makes sense that time continues as normal after killing her. But the time loop is never explained. Were they dreams? Was it a message sent by her mother in her dream warning her of the murderer? Otherwise this movie will never make sense

Please do an entire video dedicated to why she went into the time loop. The director said if there was a sequel itd explain why she went into it but in the meantime there were minor clues and 1 major clue. I think it was the candle.
