viy had made the record ever at the box office, the first week end in russia. Then, he fell. For the first movie the russian called statham, but he reccomended his friend fleming. I saw the movie for 30 minutes. awful, futile. The russian must stop to imitate the american blockbuster. they are completely unabled!
When they decided to make the sequel in china, they contact jackie chan. he says. no! But when arnold was cast to play captain Cook. then jackie changed his mind.
Viy, a gogol's famous novel, was a movie in the '60, that was really scary for these years. The 3d remake was scary. but for the wrong reasons.

Lol love the fact you look at critic ratings being low while the audience rating is 70+%. Might want to note both and maybe start to realize they have been separating for many years now. To be honest I'm not sure who the critics are even advising anymore. It's the norm for the two ratings to be largely different while being rare to find them close to each other. Tells me thiers something wrong and they dont have the pulse.

Do you have an issue with independently made movies? I'm sure Samson came out quite well considering independent studios do not have a fraction of the money that Holly-weird has. And I'd still rather go see an independent or Christian film as opposed to all the miserable drek that continues to ooze out of Hollywood like a pus-filled plague. I'm anxiously awaiting the sequel The Resurrection next year.

Peter Rabbit was awesome! I went to the movies because of my kid and 3 min in and i was loving it! The effects are awesome and the story is really credible! Hotel transylvania 3 was also good. i have high hopes for teen titans, my five year old might not get the jokes but i kinda do. This list was very disappointing. and by the looks of it you clearly don't have idea what the target audiences are.

Boo Hoo! The main purpose of a movie is (ultimately) is to make money so that the studios can afford to take a flyer with an artsy-fartsy movie to wow the critics. If a movie does both, then great. To determine which movies are good and which are bad, just let the public vote at the box office with THEIR hard earned dollars.

Anyone remember when the arrogant cocky guy was the center piece of slapstick? It was usually the good guy who got beat up but miraculously came on top for the audience to applaude. Now its the opposite and the younger generation use these icons as center pieces for their comedy, becomimg impossible to raise.

2019 update:
1: Alita and Viy 2 both released in 2019
2: all these movies made more than 2x there budgets
3. They said hotel Transylvania 3 would do the worse of the trilogy, but it did the best by far at 528 million on a 80 million budget (which is the lowest budget of the 3)

Fair points but I like the way Alita is bein made and Im hopeful for it and the new style of live adaptations to Manga and Anime. Way better looking that how Netflix did Full Metal Alchemist and Death Note (completely agree about the other movies though)

Its really disappointing seeing people defend that POS called Teen Titans Go, its a TERRIBLE, garbage show and the movie was just a cash grab, plain and pathetically simple, the only thing that IP has ever done right was renewing the new season of OG Teen Titans
