The original Get out ending isn't that dark. It would be darker if no only do the cops show up but when he tries to explain or something he gets shot dead. It's more realistic then him just getting arrested.

16 Blocks has an alternate ending that was more depressing but probably more realistic, where Bruce Willis dies just as he's delivering the evidence about the dirty cops to the prosecutor.

Rocky did lose in the first one, but you just don't see if he does or not. Seriously though that was stallones original ending. Thank god they changed it.
