The Most Dangerous Films Ever Made
video description
it seems to be a recipe for disaster on paper?
Wikipedia tells me that The most violent scenes in the rapids were shot with a model of the ship. Three of the six people involved in the filming were injured during this passage.
And later The production was also affected by the numerous injuries and deaths of
several indigenous extras who were hired to work on the film as
laborers, and two light plane crashes that occurred during the films'
production which resulted in a number of injuries, including one case of
paralysis.
Another incident during the production included a local Peruvian logger
who was bitten by a venomous snake, who made the dramatic decision to
cut off his own foot with a chainsaw to prevent the spread of the venom,
thus saving his own life.
Finally, casting of the film was difficult. Jason Robards was originally cast in the
title role, but he became ill with dysentery during early filming [about 40% of the
film had been shot at the time he fell ill. ]
After leaving for treatment, he was forbidden by his doctors to return and Klaus Kinski took on the role (although Herzog had considered Jack Nicholson for the part)

Bizarre Mythology? Really, you are usually GOOD at this. How anyone missed the clues I have no idea, BUT for those who did: Waterworld is EARTH after (whether via global warming or a meteor strike) the ice caps have melted inundating the earth. People survive by trading. or stealing. There are only a handful of plants left in mini form. dwarf tomatoes and limes (as shown in your clip. Kevin is one of a handful of Adaptive Mutations born with kills who normals revile like demons and the motorcycle gang equivalent lives on one of the few remaining tankers which now holds the world's entire oil supply. Oh, and to top it off, the little girl has a map to a mythical single remaining plot (unknown size) of land tattooed on her back. WHAT is any more bizarre about that than the Earth falling to ruin for some unknown reason in Mad Max? The story is basically a Humanity fix thyself or else warning of what could happen if we don't A) stop global warming. and B) improve and expand space exploration to find both new resources. and a place to move to if Waterworld should happen. Only those to dumb to understand ( apparently an unfortunately large portion of humanity) didn't like it and it's message.

I'm glad you asked. It's a little known fact, but Jaws contains a scene that NEVER would've been shot today. In the opening scene, a woman takes a fatal skinny-dipping session in the ocean. In real life, the actress lived, but the scene WAS filmed with her swimming naked in the ocean at dusk/night when sharks begin to hunt for food. She had NO shark protection of ANY kind, and, yes, she was being bumped by real sharks in that scene. So, yes, her screams in that scene are terrifyingly real because she was absolutely terrified. (BTW, she was interviewed for the 25th anniversary of Jaws, and she revealed then that she has NEVER put so much as her toes in the ocean again)

If you dig into the facts about Waterworld, you'll find it an aggravatingly persistent Hollywood myth that it was a financial bomb. Sure, when it first opened not that many went to see it as it was poorly marketed by the studio and didn't exactly present a feel good vibe. However, it bounced back and with the help of large foreign revenues it ended up being a financial success. It's budget was around 173. million but It's revenues were around 265. million. So what if it didn't make Titanic like earnings, but it was NOT a financial flop. Jeez!
Come on Looper, you can do better than pandering a persistent myth!

I feel bad for the girl in Resident Evil I mean I don't even know her and the way she's showing her accident with a smile. I feel bad cause she lost something her arm and was gravely injured I've been in an accident and I'm thankful to have walk away intact but she's there smiling for no reason and probably not even a good pay have lost something for a crappy movie that I don't even consider a movie. Really there needs to be more acknowledgement for stunt actors. I can imagine the directors going eh another one in the hospital oh well let's replace them. Seriously.

I read that during filming of Alien 4 during the long, underwater swim segment Sigourney Weaver had a terrible time with it, at one point after being rescued by divers with air tanks hollering, I know you're paying me a lot of money but I just CAN'T DO THIS! (20, 000, 000. Ron Perlman also got hit in the face with some floating debris and got knocked unconscious, also rescued by the divers. And with that scene, it wasn't constant, they panned from person to person a lot, so why put the actors through all that?

I'm quite surprised that one movie that wasn't mentioned was The Crow, following the death of Brandon Lee on the set. Also two years ago the actor that accidentally shot and killed Brandon Lee has also passed away.
Also during the first day of shooting a carpenter suffered severe burns because his crane hit live power lines, a crew member accidentally drove a screwdriver through his hand. Talk about having a bad day at the office.

Roar without a doubt is the most dangerous film ever made. something like 75 people were injured by lions and tigers and leopards one of the guys was even scalped by a lion people got gangrene bones were broken the sheer fact that nobody died and only 75 people got hurt was a miracle. Because all of the animals used in the movie where completely undrained these people literally had a death wish and just couldn't get killed

Messing around with spirits and the devil, I still consider the movie, The Excorcist, the most dangerous and also still the most scariest of all movies. and also consider the movie. Poltergeist, which the director Tobe Hooper insisted on filming this movie in a real haunted place/location.
Plus wasn't the movie, The Birds. pretty dangerous. at least for the actress Tippy Heddron?
