TV Show Endings That People Still Don't Understand Kenrick: I still think Not Fade Away was a good ending to 'Angel'. I love how Angel and the others started battling against the army of demons sent by the Senior Partners. I mean, let's be honest, Wolfram & Hart are the main antagonist of the entire show. Joss Whedon knew right away the show was gonna be over. The WB (that later became The CW years later) wanted to give the series 2 more seasons, but unfortunately, due to Joss asking for an early renewal, the show was immediately canceled. The only thing I know about the final scene of the 'Angel' finale is: the fight never ends. According to Whedon, 'Angel' is about redemption. What I love the most about 'Angel' is, not only it's dark atmosphere, but how it's growing so much, how passionate it really is and how it tells you you should never give up no matter what. Also, this show is one of the real reasons why I want to become a screenwriter in the future. Needless to say, 'Angel' remains my most favorite Joss Whedon show. (Always has been since I first saw it) Anyways, I don't think the ending was awful at all. I really think it was a good way to end the show.

The Soprano's ending _was_ clear and well done IMO. There were 3 distinct conversations discussing whether you'd even know or feel it with a bullet to the brain, or would everything just go dark in the episodes leading up to the finale. In the finale itself, the camera made a point of switching to a POV shot from Tony's perspective around _five_ times - every transition signaled specifically by the door chime as Tony looked up at the people entering the dinner. In the last moments, we follow his daughter as she at last manages to park her car, is about to enter the diner and reaches for the door. The door chimes, we switch to Tony's POV and everything is immediately dark and soundless. It seems pretty clear what happened to me.

Maybe you should try watching YouTuber Passion of the Nerd outlook on Buffy and Angel, because Im pretty sure hed explain your confusion over Angels ending. The show Angel is a metaphor for an alcoholic redeeming himself. The ending of Angel is possibly one of the best endings Ive ever seen, the last line Lets go to work, and Buffys last line What do we do now, Buffy? Is how nothing in our life is ever finished, our story never ends. There is no And they lived happily ever after. Do you know anyone who lived happily ever after? No! The fight keeps going on! Evil never stops, you cant win! There is no finish line. Get it now?

Battlestar Galactica's ending (and the Kara Thrace revival) were wonderful. The show always dabbled with the themes of religion, politics, and faith. If you didn't see the ending or her character arc coming, then I guess you didn't. Hey, if you didn't like the show for those two reasons, then that's okay. But, the show is one of tv's best examples of writing (save the back half of the second season when syfy started to mess with the show. The ending was not confusing in the slightest to me, nor was it a let-down. But, hey, I guess if you think so then that's your thing.

Sadly there aren't a lot of shows with good endings and I think that's because people didn't want these shows to end - period. the fact that it's ending at all is disappointing enough. Now that I think back, the ONLY show I enjoyed the ending of was Star Trek TNG because nobody died, there was no mystery and everything will just continue as it was (they travel through space exploring the unknown) and that's IT. Good. Where as Star Trek Voyager had the WORST ENDING IMAGINABLE. Spend 7 years getting home to just cut to black once they do. WHAT? Enraged to no end.

I actually got the ending of BSG. thought it was a fitting end considering the spiritual overtones of the whole series and the gods watching along the way. specially liked how they tied in mankind's path to the same destruction using the theory that everything that has happened, will happen again and again and again. That ties into the big bang theory and how the universe is expanding and the theory that everything that expands eventually contracts (meaning it will contract back into another big bang and so on and so on)

People are bizarrely adamantly determined that the characters they've enjoyed must stop existing once the final episode airs. They want closure of _everything_, so that the universe no longer exists and nothing else ever happens.
The end of _Angel_, for example, is exceedingly clear. There is nothing confusing about it. He's been fighting for a long time. Why would everything be wrapped up in a neat little bow? And BTW, have you never ever watched a Whedon show, like, _ever_?

I loved the Hannibal finale. Especially once you actually take the time to add up all the clues: that Bedelia couldn't have cut off, prepared and serve her own leg since Hannibal was the one who always cooked. There's TWO place settings, the logical conclusion is that Hannibal AND Will survived and Hannibal prepared her leg and she's waiting for them at the table so she can stab them with her fork. Plus Bryan Fuller already confirmed it.

Hannibal was cancelled. Bryan Fuller is attempting to reboot it with the backing of the Syfy network. Mikkelson and Dancy, along with the rest of the cast, are prepared to reprise their roles. It looks like it might happen, especially as the rights to Clarice Starling and The Silence of the Lambs have become available.

I just watched you, me and the apocalypse and they planned on doing a 2nd season but it wasn't renewed. I so freaking HATE that. The new version of V was like that too. I think they should write into law that any studio etc that produces a tv series must have a wrap up episode. not renewed? TFB. have to make the last episode.
