The Most Cringe-Worthy Crying Scenes We've Ever Sat Through AmBeRaZaNu: I'm not a triggered Potter fan because until recently, I hadn't seen half of the movies and I've yet to read any of the books, but if there's a scene that's so well-acted, it's Cedric's death. Radcliffe was amazing and I loved how Cedric's father reacted. I would wail and scream if I realized I was running to my boy's corpse. Also, I see many people saying Harry didn't know Cedric that well. That's not reason enough not to cry. Harry was traumatized by many things by that scene: Voldemort's return and seeing Malfoy's father among the death eaters, witnessing the death of Cedric in a flash and him being called a spare by Voldemort. There's also having his parents' right by his side, assisting him and then he carries a boy's corpse right to his parent. Really? You don't think he should've cried, people?

Ok, the Moulin Rouge scene tore me up when I first saw it. I completely believed that everything he cared about had just been torn apart and ripped out of him bodily. The story was premised on the idea that this woman was the purest form of love he would ever experience. She was everything to him. Of course he was demolished when she died in his arms. Unlike most here, I'm fine with the Harry Potter one though. Cedric's dad being extreme makes sense because he's a parent. If one of my daughters was dead in front of me, I'd be losing my shit too. Harry though, Harry just couldn't sell it for me.

Well harry wasn't that bad (except for the fact that he didn't cry at all during the battle and suddenly remembered about it when he returned) but Cedric's father was definitely overacting. I always found it unnecessary, especially considering the father wasn't shown crying in the book.

The Signs scene was brilliant. And lol at thinking they were actually crying about the french toast (hint: they believed the world was ending and they were all about to die horrifically at the hands of aliens.

I disagree with Harry Potter, Moulin Rouge, and Spider Man. The actors in these scenes did their very best, and I think that each of these crying scenes created an effective emotional moment in each film

I'm not a rabid Potter fan but I don't think that scene was cringy. I have a child and my heart broke with that scene when the father cried out of denial. I'm getting teared up just thinking about it.

It's funny how many of the Harry Potter fans are triggered and raging. Guys. leans in. . The scene was garbage. Come at me, bro. umadbro? utriggered? Get rekt. Come at me, I'll 1v1 you. PVP.

It's a shame because if you've watched The Impossible you'll know that Ewan McGregor can cry really well. There was even a rumour at the time that McGregor was in the running for an Oscar

I have to disagree about the potter scene! While i understand the subjectivity of movies and i get your point, i think this is a STRONG moment and its so great. Makes me cry everytime

That Harry Potter scene was one of the most emotionally punching in the series. Overacted? Hardly. Clearly you don't understand human emotion. It was carried out extremely well.
