The Ending Of A Quiet Place Explained Kieran: Getting tired of people complaining about how the military and scientists didn't think to harness the creatures sensitivity to sound as a weapon against then. The simple answer is how do you know that they aren't? While it is seen in newspaper headlines that the creatures are bulletproof and seem to be unstoppable, that was the initial stage of the invasion which probably took the military by surprise and they got overwhelmed. You need to consider that it would take a while for the military to work out that they were sensitive to sound, as the military would have gone in with a full counter attack which meant they wouldn't be a situation to realise that the creatures are blind and used sound as their way to hunt, they would have just appeared as ruthless aliens who kill anything in their path until they lost so many and that they eventually worked it out. We have no idea that scientists and other forces were not working to harness this during the film as the film is focused on a single family trying to survive from this nightmarish creatures.

The ending reminds me of The Desolation of Smaug.
One of the greatest scenes in this movie was the bathtub scene. As Evelyn is in labor, Lee is trying to get back to her, Marcus is running to start a distraction, and Regan doesnt know whats going on until she walks back and sees the red lights. Then, as Evelyn is giving birth, we see the alien climb up the stairwell, the fireworks start, and the music crescendos to Evelyns spine chilling scream. It works and blends so well, it is one of the most unforgettable scenes in a movie. The composer did such a nice job with this soundtrack. Really great movie. Im really excited for Part 2!

As I walked out of the theater, one person - a teen, maybe 12 or 13? - claimed That wasn't a movie, that was a trailer! What happened!
Whereas a (Deaf) group loved it, claiming it was very empowering and exciting to see how well different elements were displayed on screen.
There was a lot of elements at play, and an intriguing story we didn't quite see much of, but the real story is on the family and their ability to survive - and pave a way for the future. That some needed explanation to understand the ending shows a lack of education regarding story telling, narrative, audience, and other literary elements.

Why didn't they move to waterfalls? It seems like the safest place as they can make all the noise they want and still be safe. Of course, gardening and a lot of other things might be not possible there, but they could build a place to live near the waterfall and go do gardening, radio-search and staff to their old place. Seems like waterfalls are not that far away. Why the wife even washes the clothes in home when they could bring clothes to the river? Moreover, if they move there, wife could give birth near the waterfall so she could scream and the baby also could scream afterwards without any danger.

As an avid sci-fi fan this movie made no dam sense, what invasion, where's the military? Are these aliens worker drones like ants or simply their attack dogs with the actual aliens never being seen? Wouldn't the greatest scientists around the world figure out this feedback weakness very shortly after the so-called invasion if was so simple, why is it always some schlep in a basement who accidentally finds their weakness? This ending made about as much sense as the Slim Whitman defense in Mars Attacks.

I felt so terrible for this but I thought it was kate winslet and not emily blunt. to be fair I do all I can to know as little as possible about horror films. usually predict them and they really looked alike in the film. Not that she is the worst, I'm just not the biggest kate winslet fan so the whole movie I was all, did it have to be her? But at the end I told my friends wow she did a really amazing job and I am definetly a fan now. They all looked at me like girl what movie were you watchin. smh

i don't think the ending needed an explanation, but rather why the monsters didn't attack when they made noises sometimes, even if they where just not too loud but louder than a whisper at least. Was still a good movie, but somestimes i though why are they not attacking now?

it would have been a little more interesting if they could have explained where the creatures came from and what happened to everyone on the planet. and how could they have a baby and have it survive when the second it screams bloody murder its well Murdered by the creature?

What the hell about the ending needs explaining? It's all very obvious and up there on the screen. Do people not actually watch films now and just go straight to youtube to have the ending explained to them or are people dumber than I give them credit for?

So everybody realized they had super sensitive hearing. but didn't try to fight them with loud/irritating sound immediately after figure that out? Why do the aliens disrupt electrical signals? I enjoyed the movie but those two things continue to bother me.
