The Untold Truth Of Black Lightning Kenrick: When I first heard about 'Black Lightning', I really wanted 'Static Shock', but after watching the series premiere, I started falling in-love with it. (I view him as nothing more than a grownup version of Static Shock) This show is a WHOLE LOT BETTER than 'Arrow', 'Supergirl' and/or 'Legends of Tomorrow'. I hope the show continues until Season 4 or 7; and I pray to God this show has a crossover with 'The Flash'. Anyways, after watching the debut season of the show, I was pretty impressed. Tobias Whale seems like the kind of villain who would run Wolfram & Hart, since he seem to be Black Lightning's #1 enemy out of all the other crooks he stopped. What I really appreciate about this show is it's strong acting, good writing, awesome music and it's fast pace. It has good story and likeable characters. All in all, I really love 'Black Lightning' and I enjoy every minute of it.

I love Black Lightning I haven't seen the show yet but I'm going to catch up on it on Netflix but I love the character I've been a fan of him since the 80s. The reason the CW shows Black Lightning is because the success of Luke Cage from Marvel over on Netflix. it's that simple DC and every way is trying to catch up tomorrow they doing good on TV but they are really failing at the box office. Black Lightning no doubt we'll get a second season. I think it's time for Arrow to go off the air. CW needs to form their own Justice League and have arrow on that show along with the Flash and some of the other superheroes that have showed up on the other superhero shows on the CW. It seems like the Justice League will not make another movie for the big screen at least they can be on the small screen.

Actually Black Lightning WASN'T DC's first Black Superhero. That honor goes to either Mal Duncan or Bumblebee of the Teen Titans. I say either because while technically Mal appeared first, he wasn't a superhero. He had saved the Titans from a street gang and they asked him to join them. He didn't become a costumed Superhero until a little later when his girlfriend, Karen Beecher, aka the Bumblebee joined the Titans to make sure the Titans weren't just using Mal.

Black Lightning is awesome. I did not follow him avidly when I was a kid, I bought his comics among others at garage sales. I bought any comic sold at those. The version I knew needed nobody else to be the electric superhero he was. I'm glad they made him a return to superhero life older guy, it's kind of like he aged with me. aged at a FAR slower rate. But then, that's comics for ya'

Black Lightning turned the Justice league down. If that's not an indication that this show should be kept far away from the Arrowverse then I don't know what is. He should do like he did the JL and join maybe 30 years later or when his show is in it's final season but as of right now it has a great thing going and should be kept FAAARRR away from the Arrowverse. As far as possible.

I gave it a try, but it may as well have kept the name black bomber, cause it bombed bad in my view. Shitty dialogue, shitty costume and even shittier storyline. The acting was fairly shit as well, when making a series with a family drama try to find actors that at least make an effort to give the appearance of some chemistry between the family members.

For the record, DC did have two other Black superheroes who appeared before Black Lightning, although neither headlined their own comic book. Tyroc, who was a member of the Legion of Superheroes in the 30th Century, and Machiste, who appeared alongside Mike Grell's the Warlord.

If I could get past the horrible actor playing Black Lightning. Also this show relies on the premise that he's black and a super hero way too much. .we can clearly see he's black, it doesn't have to be the only plot line in the entire show. .

This show does a remarkable job of sneaking in quite a bit of racial tension without smashing into your face and down your throat. It's thoughtful and compelling. I'm wondering if they'll tie it into the Arrowverse.

I watched it a couple episodes but it is boring. There is always that hint that something is going to happen, then nothing really happens, then the next hint. It worked for a while, then I got it and moved on.
