Awful TV Shows That Didn't Even Last 5 Episodes Comanche: I had to comment on one of the showers mentioned. WORK IT. I think if is funny how every one thought that guys dressing up as women would hurt the (trans) community. I seem to recall a little show years ago called BOSOM BUDDIES. It stared Oscar winner Tom Hanks. He and his friend dressed up as woman to live in a all womens apartment building. It didnt seem to hurt anyone. So fast forward to 2019. Same kind of idea. There are 2 men dressing up as woman to get a job. I am still missing the issue or harm. The group GLAD said it would make people think (trans) are just men dressing up and pretending to be women. We, THEY ARE! Genetically they are still men. Just because you slice your penis and put fake breast on your chest does not a woman make. Ou cant argue with genetics. That is why I think its unfair for a (trans) to play in womans sports. But that is another topic for another day. The point is the show Working IT, would not have caused any more issues than Bosom Buddies did. I face I believe it would have done the opposite and trained people to think it is ok.

You know why there are so many absolute garbage series(note that I would call many more shows garbage than your average boob toob drooler? Because there are too many networks trying to fill too many hours with whatever they can. They get so drowned in bad ideas that when good ideas come along they don't know how to handle them half the time. i. e. Firefly.
Television has become hot garbage in general, and the advertisements are insulting to anyone but a simpleton. Which is why I have no paid for a single form of television service for the past 15 years. and I've only been an adult out on my own for 17.

I'm surprise swingtown isn't on this list. That being said I remember enjoying Playboy Club being pretty good, it was of course trying to ride the tide of Madmen but with women at the center. It was funny slightly soapy drama that took place an interesting place and time. As for Gloria Steinem, it should be reminded she went undercover back in the day as playboy bunny express general disapproval for a job, while many woman who worked as Bunnies interviewed late expressed a possessive view of their experience they had at the club.

Ah. bad shows.
It's not only really bad written and acted shows that get the axe, it's also really good shows that get the axe because of all the self-entitled, self-righteous snowflakes out there who have no sense of humor, and no clue how the real world works, much less what goes on in reality.
So they whine, cry, and throw their little toddler tantrums. and ruin everything for those of us who DO have a sense of humor and DO live in reality.

It used to be accepted that actors would portray as someone they didn't share like experiences in their own lives. Now it's considered controversial to be anything other than the character portrayed on screen. Unfortunately, even with trying to fill as many roles with people whose personal lives match the specifics of their character, the quality of entertainment hasn't risen as high as the bar for equality.

The show Las Vegas did a flashback episode where the cast was in Vegas in the 1960's. They showed the same depiction of objectifying women and racism as The Playboy Club. And at the end the two clean-cut leading men killed someone and buried the bodies in the desert. (Something their current counterparts would never do, of course) People praised them for accurately portraying the time period.

Americans have no idea how to interpret British humor or writing and so ruin everything they try to bring over from England (with the exception of The Office. When Torchwood was picked up by Showtime for its final season, the show was completely Americanized, which totally ruined it. Moffat was right, his work does better in Britain because they know how to do it right.

I don't specifically disagree with any show listed here, but there have been so many crappy shows that did make it more seasons than they deserved. I could mention many of them, but I'd get hate mail. But I can think of at least four examples where I wanted to love the show but couldn't, and the show lasted three seasons or more.

Other shows that didnt make it:
Better off Ted.
Selfie
For me Wicked Citys problem was that there are too man cop shows.
I mess the show LA to Vegas. I like shows with a small cast that take place in a few places because it reminds of small stage productions where they focused more one the people than the location.
