Small Details You Missed In The New Halloween Trailer

Back to the roots? Again, no, it doesn't. Michael didn't really do ANYTHING in the first movie. All he did was show up in the background like a pre-Slender Man for most of the movie. If this new movie was supposed to go back to the roots, it would focus on terror and paranoia, and not the gore and inevitable jumpscares.
Laurie has prepared for his return for 40 years. but why? He attacked her. She survived. He got arrested. And that's about that. He was thrown in jail, and has been there the last four decades. What on earth makes her think he'll come back for her? And why does she think he's not just some random lunatic? Keep in mind none of the other movies happened, including Halloween 2. We know there is a lot more to Michael than it might appear, but Laurie doesn't.

The scene where the kids bump into him IMO is much more of a nod to Halloween ll (1981. They might've crossed it with the Halloween (1978) scene a bit. But there was even a kid with a radio and in Halloween ll Myers doesn't stick his arms out and grab the kid like in the first film. Just like in this scene the kid bumps into Myers and Myers doesn't react at all really. Halloween ll nod more so than a Halloween nod.

I thought this was supposed to take place after 2 but before 4 but judging by the beginning of the trailer im not sure that it does. And if it ignores all the sequals to the first one then this is a different ending completely. She originally dies in the ressurection but if this is a new sequal to one then neither her or jaime( who originally died later in the series but is NOT seen) have NOT died in this case.

He is trapped in a little kids mind but pure evil. He thought Lorie was Judith and that she was still alive and couldn't understand so he stalked her. Lomis said No conscience, and no reason, no understanding of right and wrong He's not even gonna remember her til he sees her face to face again. He is gonna start thinking her granddaughter is, Judith. Hints why he pets her face inside the cop car in the new trailer.

If they tossed the entire canon in the garbage I'm not going to watch this movie. I hate when they shit on the history when doing a reboot or remake whatever and what happened to Rob Zombie doing these movies he did a really good Halloween

i actually really liked the idea of michael being laurie''s brother. all the other sequels, yeah retcon that. but i felt like halloween 2 did a good job of keeping with the feel of the original. not like, completely, but pretty good.

Yay! Pandering to fan boys, recreations of tired scenes from old movies. Anything is better than Rob Zombie's remakes, right? Another example of marketing and hazy memories catapulting a reworked story (IT) into box office gold.

I haven't seen a decent horror in years. Conjuring and everything similar bores me. I'm so glad Halloween is back. I hope it's good so it shows the originals will never die and proves they're better than the crap released now

I'm usually not entirely sure about re-wrapping or re-touching a loved classic's origin unless there's a really good reason for it, though I kinda want Halloween's franchise to deliver a new, fresh and enjoyable experience.
