Epic Horror Movie Endings From This Century killeing: many people get confused by this and I don't blame them, as it is a likely perspective. In actuality, Max's family in Krampus actually DID escape the horrors of Krampus' wrath, as indicated after Max hears people across the street also celebrating Christmas from their house. The Glass Christmas Ornament they appear to be inside of is actually Krampus' way of keeping an eye on them to always make sure they're in the Christmas spirit, less he needs to return there next year.
It's kind of a play of the lyrics he sees you when you're sleeping, he knows when you're awake. He knows if you've been bad or good so be good for CHRISTMAS sake.

The Witch's ending was great bc thru out the movie, u didnt know if there was really something super natural happening or if the family was so wrapped up in their beliefs that they were fulfilling a sort of self prophecy. But then come to find out the devil was among them since the beginning and, when rewatching, can see the influence of black Phillip. Great movie but emotionally draining. its what I call a one time watch (once a year or somethingl

Krampus was far from an epic ending, it was a strange combination of horror and comedy that didn't work. It was like the Nightmare on Elm Street's later sequels, it's just an hour of cheap jokes, small scares, and lack of heart to be the slightest bit interesting. Halloween H20 is a semi-good example of how to balance horror and comedy yet still make a solid movie, Krampus isn't epic in any sense.

I have all the characteristics of a human being: blood, flesh, skin, hair; but not a single, clear, identifiable emotion, except for greed and disgust. Something horrible is happening inside of me and I don't know why. My nightly bloodlust has overflown into my days. I feel lethal, on the verge of frenzy. I think my mask of sanity is about to slip.

All right about the Krampus story I just want to throw this in not only did his entire family get taken but the entire neighborhood the entire town got taken down because if you remember when they were going out there was nobody else all the other houses were empty Krampus have been there.

You shouldve included Shut In, where the son that was in a coma was actually the one moving stuff around and walking around at night, or The Boy where the dead son was actually alive and was controlling the family from within the walls

The reveal at the end to the invitation was the only good part of the movie. The rest was utter trash. And the sudden twist from psychological horror to slasher was not welcome or surprising.

Reeker, High Tension, The Others, The Mist, Final Destination 5, A Serbian Film, Orphan, The Belko Experiment, House of 9, Banshee Chapter also had very creative and interesting endings

The Invitation is a very good movie, but I don't really think it's a horror. A slow-burn, thriller yeah, but idk about horror. Not even a psychological horror movie. Still good though.

When will commentators stop using the term epic for everything they see or hear? At some point, overuse of the term (which doesn't make much sense anyway) renders it meaningless.
