My theory is that Loki is actually alive and finds a seventh infinity stone which is more powerful than the others. Call it far-fetched, but Loki is a fan-favorite villain, and I think the comics had Loki find a seventh stone. Im not sure about that; I dont actually read any comics.

This sounds more like a Marvel trick to misdirect theories that may be getting closer to the movie direction.
This also brings up the point that Hulk is in a trailer in the battle and yet we see that never happens.

The character CROSSBONES was never developed in the MCU (only a five minute opening scene cameo in Civil War) and he becomes a fan favourite.

Is it possible that the time travel concept is to get captain marvel from the past? I mean, marvel did say that captain marvel will be set in the past(90s if I'm not mistaken. Maybe that why they time traveling involved

Who knows, I might not be flashback. It might be them trying to cancel the sokovia acord. Using time traveling(reminds me of X-men. Thus giving them more freedom, leading to no civil war. if they cancel the sokvia acord.

I dont hate Crossbones but he is not a fan-favourite like, his role was really forgettable, only when you mentioned it is from Civil War then I remembered it was that guy

Theory: they will go back in time to stop rumlow from exploding so that it doesnt trigger the accords/civil war. Therefore iron man and cap never split.
