The Hate You Give and its young female protagonist were very powerful, incredibly relevant --- should have been nominated for awards ---- maybe there was not big enough funds for promotion and distribution --- flew under the radar for most people even though it received excellent reviews

You Were Never Really Here - First 2/3 absolutely masterpiece. Outstanding performence by Joaquin Phoenix. Last 1/3 shows that a screenplay writer had no idea how to end the movie. Last 10 minutes is an absurd. It could be a mind-blowing movie but it's just a ordinary 7/10.

A nice mix of movies I loved (including a couple in my top 10, movies I need to see, and movies I'm hadn't heard about yet.
I would have thought Searching had too much attention to be included, but it's a close call, and Cho was fantastic, so I'm not complaining. :)

'The miseducation of Cameron Post' has already been done. 1999's 'But I'm a Cheerleader', starring Natasha Lyonne. And although I never saw the newer version (and don't want to, I'd venture to say the older one was done better - it's an absolutely WONDERFUL movie!

Gladiator is a good movie. Matrix is a good movie. Aliens is a good movie.
These movies are shit and garbage compared to the masterpieces I mentioned.
Heck, I think Gladiator was the last good movie I saw in the cinema.

there is a reason no one saw these. Just about all of these are rated between 6 and 7 on imdb. A pretty good indicator they suck! Searching is the only one that looks good and it does have a very respectable rating on imdb.

Mostly pretentious films that pretend to be bold but are just regurgitating the same leftist ideologies. Word to the reviewers, just because a film is about lesbians or race does not necessarily make it good.

Brilliant
The three films that I saw on this list (Blindspotting, Leave No Trace, You Were Never Really Here) were all brilliant and easily some of the best films I saw in a year that was pretty terrible in terms of films.
