Where does it show that this is what Hawkeye has been doing since civil war? Doesn't look like house arrest to me? Time has past since infinity war and he lost his family to the snap, therefore he took up the mantle as Ronin. Re-read before you record and do research. Saying that, what I said is not factual it is just most obvious as house arrest usually intends being stuck in your HOUSE. It was stated in Ant-man and the Wasp that he was under house arrest. Story of Hawkeye might be like this. Barton lost his entire family with Thanos snapping. After separating from Avengers during civil war, he refused to be part of it as he had promised his wife that he would never be part of Avengers. He went to Japan and became assassin Ronin. Natasha was able to find to find him and was shocked with his new identity.

I just dont understand Ronin. Hawkeye's whole thing is shooting arrows with accuracy, what does that have to do with a sword? Its like the greatest Basketball player of all time switching to Baseball, he just wont be as good at baseball as he was at basketball.

Hawkeyes wife was ronin before thanos dusted her. Nah but in reality he ain't ronin he is still Hawkeye. Avengers movies don't act like the comics. They are on their own agenda

Historically, Ronin's are outcasted samurais in Japan, so if hawkeye really did leave the avengers and became a mercenary. That would make perfect sense.
